Chapter 68

Eliza squatted by the sink, testing the water temperature with her hand.

It was cold and biting. But Belle still repeated her dive over and over.

When she finally came up, she was trembling from the cold. Eliza didn’t dare speak out, as the assistant had mentioned that if she disturbed Belle’s mood, they might have to retake the scene.

So, she held back her emotions and waited until the filming ended, before walking over to give her a towel to wipe off the water.

“Why are you here?” Belle asked, surprised but also happy.

“Don’t speak, change out of those wet clothes first.” Eliza’s eyes were red from holding back her emotions.

After Belle changed out of her wet clothes, Eliza quickly took off her own down jacket and gave it to Belle to wear.

The down jacket was Belle’s, but Eliza had intentionally worn it to warm her up.

-Belle drank two bowls of ginger soup before she felt better.

“You knew this kind of role would be tough, so why take it?” Eliza complained, but she kept holding her hand to warm it.

“Because the pay is good! And it’s a big production, maybe I’ll become famous from it?” Belle said optimistically.

“By then, you’ll need to make an appointment to see me! You might even need to call me ‘Film Queen Belle‘!” she laughed.

“Film Queen Belle, will you send someone to assassinate me if you get famous?” Eliza teased. “After all, I know too many of your secrets.”

Belle raised her chin, “That depends on your performance.”

Despite the playful banter, Belle didn’t forget to ask about Eliza’s trip.

Eliza sighed. “People can really be frustrating. I spent all evening arguing, drank almost an entire bottle of white wine, and barely got any resources

out of them.”

“What’s going on?” Belle asked,

Eliza explained the situation at the dinner party.

Belle was furious. “It’s that Calvin again! How is he still hovering around? Why is he protecting that third party? Pulling resources for her everywhere!”

“Who knows?” Eliza said, her chest tight with frustration.

Calvin and Medea had everything handed to them. Medea was relaxed the whole time, and didn’t need to say anything flattering. Mr. West just handed her resources.

Unlike Eliza, who had to be careful all night and only managed to scrape together a bit of help.

Belle fumed for Eliza, “Calvin is so willing to spoil her! Why doesn’t he just hand Everest over to her?”

Eliza said, “That might actually happen.”

After all, Calvin’s care for Medea had already surpassed Eliza’s comprehension.

Belle was speechless. “Enough of this nonsense. When I become famous, I’ll have your back! I’ll be your support, and let those men go away!”

“Then hurry up and get famous.” Eliza smiled as she blew air into her hands to warm them.

“When I become a capitalist, I’ll make you famous too, and even make you an international film queen!”

“Your promises sound so sweet! I love them, draw more of them!” Belle laughed.

Three days after Eliza returned to Washington with Horizon’s resources, Enzo used his advanced technical skills to solve the problems they were facing.

He innovated the algorithm architecture to achieve “computing power reduction” and used sparse activation network architecture to triple training efficiency and reduce model inference costs by 60%.

This “light computing, heavy algorithm” technical approach drastically reduced the computing power requirements for the model while maintaining efficient computation capability.

The breakthrough night, Eliza was also at the studio working late. Enzo was the first to come to her and share this joy.

Perhaps too excited, Enzo gave Eliza a warm hug, repeatedly saying, “We did it! Eliza, we did it!”

Eliza returned the hug, “I knew you could do it!”

“I believe our product will shine at the AI summit!” Enzo said with confidence.

Eliza agreed, “It will.”

“So, Eliza, isn’t it time we give our product a decent name?” Enzo asked very seriously.

Eliza said, “This is your hard work, it should be named by you.”

But Enzo replied, “If it weren’t for your support, we wouldn’t have this result. You also have half the credit!”

Eliza was about to respond when Sadie chattered, “Stop pushing it around. In my opinion, you two are like the parents of the product, one responsible for nurturing and the other for hatching. Both of you deserve credit!”

She didn’t say much, but as soon as she did, everyone in the studio began teasing them.

Enzo, perhaps embarrassed, reddened slightly, trying to stop them with stammering words.

Eliza, however, was composed. “Jokes aside, let’s settle on the product name, we need to release it before the summit.”

After a brief discussion, they finally settled on a name: “ASKHEART“, which means “to ask the heart.”

Eliza had seen this phrase before, “In today’s world, we should ask our heart, not others.”

She had gotten through many sleepless nights with this phrase, talking to herself, gently pleading to let go of certain things.

On the day “ASKHEART” was launched, Enzo treated the whole company to a meal.

He asked Eliza if they should invite the investors.

Eliza thought it was a good idea and personally called Camille and Josh.

Camille wasn’t in Washington and couldn’t make it, but Josh agreed readily and said he would arrive on time.

Just as Eliza arrived at the restaurant, her phone rang.

She froze for a moment when she saw the caller ID and remembered who it was.

It was Calvin.
