Medea frowned, “What a coincidence.”

“Yes, a project at the company came up unexpectedly, I need to handle it. Apologies again,” Mr. Vega explained.

Since Mr. Vega had said that, Medea couldn’t argue, so she agreed to reschedule.

After hanging up, she sent a message to Josh to invite him for dinner.

Mr. Vega rushed out of the car and even jogged up to Eliza. “Ms. Grant, what a coincidence! You’re here for Japanese food too? Since we ran into each other, let’s eat together.”

“Sorry, Mr. Vega, we’re having a company dinner…” Eliza politely declined.

Mr. Vega wasn’t bothered. “It’s alright, you all enjoy your dinner, I won’t disturb you. If you have time later, let’s have a chat.”

It was clear that Mr. Vega was here for a business discussion.

So, Eliza agreed.

Mr. Vega was delighted. “I’ll go book a private room, and send you a message when it’s ready. When you have time, just come by. I’ll be waiting!”

He took a few steps forward but turned back to emphasize, “Ms. Grant, I’ll be waiting for you. Don’t keep me waiting!”

Eliza was speechless.

“Ms. Grant~ I want Japanese food!” Thea intentionally imitated Mr. Vega’s tone to tease Eliza.

Eliza pretended to be angry.

Thea quickly hid behind Enzo. “Ms. Grant’s mad!” she exclaimed.

The group laughed and joked, creating a lively atmosphere.

Medea and Calvin’s private room was just next door.

The soundproofing in the Japanese restaurant’s private rooms wasn’t great, and soon, the noise from next door reached them.

Sadie was helping Eliza block off drinks. Her voice was distinct, especially since she had once trained in bel canto.

“From now on, I’ll drink Eliza’s wine for her!” Sadie said confidently. “I need to learn from Eliza!”
