After a while, Blake pressed his lips together and scanned the whole lon Wing Drones headquarters.

This was his very first challenge as the CEO. If he let anyone push him around now, he’d never be able to hold his head high again.

He finally glanced away.

“What do you want?” Blake asked.

It was as if Blake had matured overnight. Facing hundreds of staff handing in their resignations, he stood his ground and asked.

To them, it seemed like he was ready to compromise.

They instantly got cocky.

They exchanged glances and pushed a leader forward to negotiate.

Meanwhile, Stella was half leaning against the wall when her phone lit up with a message.

It was from Caleb.

Caleb: [Ms. Carter, the military is sending someone over in the next couple of days. I’ll let you know when they get here.]

Stella glanced down, lazily replied with an “Okay”, and tucked her phone away.

“We want a raise. Three times… no, make it five times our current pay!” the leader demanded, his eyes flickering with calculation.

He went on, “Two days on, five days off. And Mr. Pierce, you have to stay out of our core tech team’s business. Plus…”

Before he could finish, someone let out a mocking snort.

“Sorry, don’t mind me. Carry on,” Stella drawled.

She casually waved. Not even hundreds of stares could shake her. Stella was the picture of calm.

The leader looked annoyed and was about to speak when the men in black who’d been unloading the cash. walked right up to Stella.

With everyone gaping in shock, one of them reported in a deadpan voice, “Ms. Carter, Mr. Gray, that’s a total of 80 million dollars in cash. All here.”

Everyone was left speechless.

They thought, ‘How much is that?

Staring at the towering wall of cash, the hundreds of employees who’d handed in their resignations couldn’t hide their greed. They were sure Blake was breaking the bank just to keep them around, and their arrogance only grew.

They were even more convinced that lon Wing Drones couldn’t survive without them.

Even the employees watching from upstairs were thinking the same thing.

Some of them were already regretting not quitting with the rest.

Stella raised her hand, and the Yates family members immediately lined up behind her and Sebastian.

She shot a sharp look at Blake.

Blake cleared his throat, his tone deceptively easygoing as he spoke to the leader. “That’s it? Nothing else?” The leader just stood there, speechless.

He was still reeling from the sight of that 10 million dollar wal of much.

Tom rushed over, and the whole finance team was already on standby after getting the heads-up.

Blake looked at them with a frosty stare. “I’ve already signed off on all their resignations. Give them the highest severance pay, no exceptions.”

In Stella’s words, even if he’d show them all the door, he’d make sure no one could find a single thing to criticize about him.

They were the ones who chose to quit.

He was handing out the maximum severance pay. If word got out, people would just say Blake was generous as hell.

“What did you just call me?” Blake said, his voice icy.

All that spoiled rich kid attitude vanished, replaced by a ruthless CEO aura that radiated pure dominance. The leader was sweating bullets. “M-Mr. Pierce…”

Blake wore a look of icy arrogance. These were the tricks he’d learned straight from Sebastian. As he thought about it, he couldn’t help glancing at Sebastian, his eyes sparkling with admiration for a split second.

Sebastian didn’t know what to say.

They were just bluffing, not expecting to actually get canned.

“And why can’t he?” Stella drawled, her voice lazy and impossible to read.

Stella strolled out from the sidelines, sounding totally chill and unreadable.

Her face was blank and flawless as she came up and stood beside Blake. “Blake, tell them all who you are.” Blake’s voice was low and firm. “I’m the CEO of lon Wing Drones.”

“Can’t hear you,” Stella called out, totally unfazed.

This time, Blake spoke up, louder. “I’m the CEO of lon Wing Drones!”

He sounded way steadier and more sure of himself than the first time.

Stella didn’t even bother to look at Blake. She just drawled, her tone lazy and a little taunting, “Still, I can’t hear you.”

Blake took a deep breath, grounding himself. His eyes swept the room, and everyone he met eyes with instantly looked away. “I, Blake Pierce, am the CEO of lon Wing Drones!”

A powerful, intimidating energy seemed to gather around him.

His true sharpness was finally starting to show.

Stella grinned at the leader. “Heard that loud and clear?”

The leader just stood there, stunned.

Blake popped his head out from behind Stella. “And just so we’re clear, I didn’t fire you. You handed in your resignations. I just signed off on them…” He paused, and then added, “Every single one.”
