Creed replied, “Yes, you can just call me Creed.”

Everyone was stunned by his words.

Colsen, stuck at the doorway, was left speechless. He thought, ‘He’s almost as old as her grandfather. Why is he showing her such respect?’

“Creed?” Stella raised an eyebrow. She thought for a moment, then replied, a bit reluctantly, “Works for me.”

Everyone was left speechless, thinking, ‘Seriously? How dare she?’

Stella took them with a lazy flick, barely glancing through. “Chloe, did you write this paper yourself?”

She looked up, her icy gaze drilling straight into Chloe’s face.

Chloe shivered instinctively. “Yes.”

“She’s telling the truth.” A deep voice suddenly rang out from behind Creed, and a man stepped forward. “I watched Chloe write every single word of that paper myself.”

Stella glanced over Creed’s shoulder, her gaze cool and indifferent as she looked toward the voice.

Emily, standing behind Stella, burst out, “That’s a lie.”

Stella asked, “Who are you?”

The middle-aged man smiled. “Ms. Carter, I’m the deputy director of the Clusia Division. My name is Darius Walsh, and Chloe is my student.”

Stella just smiled, not saying a word.

She turned to Chloe. “Is that true?”

Seeing her teacher step up, Chloe immediately put on her best pitiful act. “It’s true. I spent so much time on it, and my hands were sore.”

Emily snapped, “You’re lying.”

She’d never seen anyone so outrageously shameless in her life.

Stella gave Emily a single look, and it instantly cooled her down.

Stella asked, “Remind me, what’s your name again?”

Darius hesitated, silent for a moment. He finally replied, “Darius.”

Creed glanced everywhere except at Darius. Clearly, they weren’t on the same page,

Stella said, “I have a question for this…”

She paused, pretending to forget his name, but everyone saw right through her. She said, “Just any deputy director.”

Darius’s expression darkened, but he remembered that Stella was the one headquarters had explicitly ordered him never to offend. He said, “Go ahead.”

Stella smiled. “If you claim you watched Chloe type every word, then why does this paper have Shark’s signature watermark?”

Stella said, “Funny thing is, Emily’s paper was edited and annotated by Shark.”

She was still smiling, but there was no warmth in her eyes, sending shivers down everyone’s spine.

Creed thought, ‘Now I finally understand why headquarters called us in such a frenzy today!

Creed gave Darius a conflicted look. He couldn’t imagine that he would do something so ridiculous during such an important selection.

Chloe blurted out, “No way. How could Emily know Shark?”

Stella said, “So, you admit someone helped you switch the papers and cheat, right?”

Chloe clamped her mouth shut, her eyes flickering with panic.

Out of the top five, everyone except Emily came from a big-name family in Jattina. She had casually picked what she thought was an easy target, but hit a massive obstacle instead.

Stella got up calmly, walked over to the desk, glanced at the thick stack of cash, and grabbed it casually.

Stella flicked through the cash, the bills making a rustling sound.

Stella strode right up to Chloe.
