She attempted to make peace, twisting her Chanel bag so hard that it wrinkled.

Stella replied coolly, “It’s not me you crossed.”

She lifted her gaze, and all eyes in the room followed Stella and landed squarely on Emily.

Emily was stunned.

Though Stella remained seated, her sheer presence crushed everyone else in the room.

Having someone like her on her side made Emily’s heart race.
