Dashiell, Halcyon, and Jareth, who usually looked so elegant, suddenly dashed toward Stella. They stopped in front of her and called out in unison respectfully, “Young Sovereign.”

Everyone stood there, looking dumbfounded. Their minds went completely blank.

Looking dazed, she answered, only to have her sister start yelling on the phone. “What the hell did Jenna get herself into? My husband just got dragged out of his office.”

Raina’s head felt like it was about to explode, her ears ringing nonstop. Her hand was shaking so badly that she could barely hold the phone.

The voice on the phone was loud enough for Nolan to hear, and he was also shocked.

Half an hour ago, Jenna and Chantel were taken to an interrogation room.

Jenna had been crying nonstop, and Chantel in the next room wasn’t doing any better.

“Stop crying. It’s really annoying,” Chantel snapped. If it weren’t for Jenna, she wouldn’t be stuck in this dump.

She said, “Didn’t you say your aunt’s husband works in the government? Go on, call him. If those guys get scared, they’ll have to let us out sooner or later.”

She thought, ‘This won’t scare me. Stella can’t possibly know anyone who has real power!

Jenna figured that Chantel was right, so she stopped crying and started shouting her head off at the door, yelling that her aunt’s husband would come and deal with all of them.

The door suddenly swung open from the outside, and Chantel sneered, thinking, ‘Look. They’re scared!

“Your aunt’s husband?” The guy in charge just stared at her indifferently, holding an iPad. He tapped on it a couple of times, then showed her the screen.

He said, “Are you talking about Vance?”

Jenna froze, unable to understand why he showed absolutely no fear; in fact, his tone was utterly dismissive.

“Is this the guy who leaked Stella’s info to you?” he pressed.

Jenna and Chantel, in the next room, were both completely stunned.

They thought, ‘What info? Isn’t it known to all that Stella is just some transfer student? What’s more?

Jenna didn’t answer, and the interrogator didn’t bother pressing her. He just turned and left to report what he’d found.

Just a few minutes later, Vance, who was still in the office, chatting with his team, got dragged out right in front of everyone.

Raina yelled at the school gate hysterically, “Where did you take my daughter?”

Stella replied casually, “Your daughter? Who?”

“Jenna.” Raina wailed, tears streaming down her face. There wasnt a trace of remorse; she was all fire and fury, acting like she was the one who’d been wronged.

Stella, sounding impatient, said, “I’m sorry. Who is she?”

Declan jumped in right away, “The girl who’s always with Chante, the purple-haired girl.”

Thanks to Declan’s reminder, Stella finally sort of put a face to the name Jenna. She casually spun the baseball bat in her hand, her lashes flicking up as she shot a fierce look at Nolan and Raina.

Stella replied with a hint of indifference, “Oh, do you want to see her?”

She wasn’t fazed by their attitude at all; in fact, she didn’t care in the slightest whether they were angry or not.

Raina said, “Can you-”

Stella interrupted her, “I can. Fabian, come here.”

She continued, “Take them to see her daughter.”

She said it so casually, but somehow, it made everyone listening feel uneasy, like something bad was about to happen.

Fabian shot the couple a cold look. “Sure.”

He waved, and the next second, the members of the Fourth Unit of Red Shadow, assigned to protect Stella but long idle, sprang into action.

Stella just smiled.

Everyone was scared.

An hour later, Jenna’s parents finally got to see her, and tagging ong was Vance, who had come in scolding, only to be terrified out of his wits upon realizing they were in big trouble.

Before anyone could say a word, Vance, thinking no one knew about the money he’d collected to handle things on the side. started spilling everything he shouldn’t have.

Once they were sure Stella had nothing to do with it, they shipped Vance straight off to the authorities.

He was definitely looking at a few years behind bars.

The rest of them were speechless.
