A hand reached out, and blood dripped from those fingers, adding a touch of darkness to the scene.

Soleil’s eyes widened in shock.

Her heart skipped a beat.

“Ms. Carter, are you hurt?” Orlando blurted out, while everyone else held their breath, too scared to make a sound.

Stella just shrugged, totally calm. “It’s not my blood.”

She opened her palm.

The Herbal Medicine Guild’s badge lay there, silent and still.

The blood on her hand was from the badge itself.

Everyone’s gaze snapped to Quinto. No one needed to say a word. They all knew exactly what this meant.

Quinto’s eyes were bloodshot, his expression downright vicious.

Right in front of everyone, Stella tilted her hand, letting the badge clatter to the floor. “What a shame. You snatched someone else’s student, and now your prized disciple is gone for good.”

Stella was the type who believed in fair payback; even her revenge had rules.

Carmelo betrayed his master, so he paid the ultimate price. As for Quinto, since he loved poaching other people’s disciples, he’d have to pay with his own disciple’s life.

Stella lazily lifted her gaze to meet Quinto’s, a slow, dark smile spreading across her lips.

In that moment, her revenge had come full circle, perfectly balanced, perfectly ruthless.

Meanwhile, at the foot of the mountain.

John, stone-faced, covered Lucas’s eyes. Lucas, innocent as ever, just swung his chubby little feet and happily crunched

away on his cream cookies.

The three elders were left speechless, staring in stunned silence.

The plain plant was just like the wind. The breeze made their backs break out in cold sweat.

Up ahead, Sebastian stood motionless, cold and covered in blood, his presence terrifying. He glanced down with icy indifference, blood dripping from his long fingers, one drop after another.

Around him, silence reigned.

Blood pooled on the ground.

Dashiell, Halcyon, and Jareth gulped.

Sebastian lifted his hand, and his shadow crew slipped out from the darkness, dragging the losers who tried to snatch the Silverthatch back into the shadows.

Sebastian turned his head. He fixed the three elders with a chilling stare, the streak of blood under his eyes making his devilishly handsome face look even more dangerous.

“Deal with them yourselves,” he said.

The three elders were left speechless, staring in stunned silence.

‘Is he really going to act innocent right now?’ they thought.

Especially just now, when he was snapping necks with that creepy grin, he even muttered to himself in a chilling tone, “Wife? Heh.”

He couldn’t hide the wisps of darkness swirling around him, cold, callous, and vicious.

But whenever he was with the Young Sovereign, he was the very picture of obedience.

At that moment, both Stella up on the mountain and Sebastian down below turned to look at the camera crews, each group frozen in place.

They raised their blood-smeared hands and made a shushing motion. “Don’t tell.”

The camera crews were speechless.

An overwhelming sense of pressure blanketed them, making it hard to breathe.

Up on the mountain, Quinto looked like thunder. On its surface, rows of ancient Clusia script were etched, mysterious and solemn.

“I’m going to kill you!” Soleil’s eyes were bloodshot as she lunged at Stella, but Stella didn’t even look back. She just dodged aside.

“Soleil, chill out!” The younger Herbal Medicine Guild members rushed to hold her back, but they shot Stella, looking full of hatred, eyes red and wild.

Everyone else held their breath, too scared to make a sound.

Stella said quietly, “Ghost Orchid…” reading the inscription on the stone slab.

‘Knew it. It’s really here,’ Stella thought.

Pebble in her pocket sparkled with excitement.

‘Ghost Orchid! That’s it!’ Pebble thought, practically buzzing. ‘Let me at it!’

All of a sudden, something started fidgeting in Stella’s pocket.

Stella froze.

She casually fished it out, completely unbothered, and the Herbal Medicine Guild members who’d been glaring daggers at her just moments before all froze, eyes wide in disbelief.

They shot out their hands, pointing at her as they exclaimed, “M-Magic Stone?”

Hearing that, Quinto’s head snapped up.

‘I’ve been trying to summon the Magic Stone for ages. Why the hell is it in Stella’s hands now?’ Quinto’s mind reeled.

“Give it back! That’s Tongalia’s national treasure!” Quinto shouted.

The punks were speechless.

Everyone stared at the weird, dusty little rock in Stella’s palm, faces twisted in disbelief.

Honestly, if that thing had just dropped in front of them, they would’ve kicked it a few feet away without even thinking.

‘That’s the Magic Stone?’ they thought, utterly floored.

But before Quinto could get anywhere near Stella, a fierce wind roared in from every direction, and even the earth itself trembled beneath their feet.

“Is this an earthquake?” someone cried out in panic.

Everyone was freaking out, glancing around in confusion, but Stella felt as if the Magic Stone was guiding her hand, drawing her toward the stone slab, where a perfectly-sized slot waited at its heart.

Quinto was slammed back by the wind, yelling at the top of his lungs, “Anyone who’s not from Tongalia, touch the Magic Stone and you’re dead!”

But in the very next instant, that same invisible force suddenly took shape right in front of everyone, turning into a palm and smacking Quinto across the face again.

A single word flashed in midair, bold and unmistakable: [Bullshit!]

Everyone stood there, left speechless.

Instinctively, they glanced at Quinto. His mask had been slapped clean off, and to their surprise, there was already a dark red mark on the other side of his face.

Well, at least his cheeks were finally symmetrical.

*****

Stella arched an eyebrow and slotted the Magic Stone into the empty space at the center of the stone slab.

It fit perfectly. In an instant, the wind died down, and the ground stopped shaking.

The world went dead silent, like the calm before a storm. Instead of feeling relieved, everyone just became even more on edge.

“Why do I feel so spooked?” someone muttered.
