None of them wanted to witness the snake snacking on another person. They couldn’t handle another round of that nightmare.

“Help…” Quincy’s legs went weak, and he dropped to his knees in terror, unable to stand any longer.

But instead of the horrifying scene everyone expected, the massive black Andi lowered its head, resting the scarred brow right against Stella’s forehead.

Stella suddenly gave a faint smile. “Andi?” she said softly.

She’d rescued this snake when she was just a kid at an auction. That scar on its brow was left by hunters in the rainforest who tried to capture it.

After bringing it back to the Isle of Solitude, what it loved most was stealing ViperShade’s failed poison pills. Every single time, it would foam in the mouth and twitch all over.

After surviving a brutal trial by death, Andi slipped away one night, swimming through the International Waters and never returning to the Isle of Solitude.

He never imagined that the Ghost Orchid, which was already fetching billions of dollars per flower on the outside, was actually growing right here on his own Medicine Mountain.

This was the legendary Ghost Orchid that only blooms once every three hundred years.

“So, you’re planning to stick around as the mountain’s guardian?” Stella teased, raising an eyebrow.

Andi glanced at the crowd opposite them, who looked like they’d love nothing more than to eat Andi and Stella alive. ‘Yeah, no thanks!’ it thought, recoiling at the idea.

Once the sun set, Andi figured it’d just go find a new lair and lie low for another century.

‘So unfair,’ Andi thought, feeling wronged. ‘No more endless free buffets. Guess it’s goodbye to all those tasty ducks, birds, bunnies, and boars.

Everyone stood there, left speechless.

Everyone felt like their minds were split in half.
