"I didn't see anything!" the teenager announced loudly. "Keep up the good work, Remington. You need to grovel a bit more if you want to win her back."

Remington arched an eyebrow and looked at Lizetta. "Hear that? If I were to act as your devoted servant for the next three years, our entire family would vote in favor of it."

Lizetta was speechless.

Across the room, Joseph hadn't turned back around, but his shoulders were shaking with silent laughter.

Her cheeks burning, Lizetta snatched the bowl from Remington's grasp.
