Remington held Joy, his expression deadpan.

"Do you even know how to hold a baby? Don't drop my son. Besides, did you wash your hands? God knows how much bacteria you're carrying. Have some self-awareness."

Nathan's suit jacket was slightly wrinkled, clearly showing he had rushed over straight from the airport.

But Remington wasn't touched by the gesture in the slightest; he was genuinely disgusted by the potential germs.

Nathan looked like he was ready to cough up blood. He glared furiously.

"What do you mean I don't know how to hold a baby? I held you when you were little!"

But knowing he had come straight from a flight without changing or washing up, he slowly lowered his hands, abandoning his attempt to hold the boy.

Lizetta walked over. Remington's shoulder was still injured, and even though he acted like it was nothing, Joy was getting heavy.

She reached out. "Be a good boy, Joy. Mama will hold you."

Joy obviously favored his mother over everyone else. Plus, he had just learned to say the word, and every time he said it, Lizetta showered him with affection.

The smart little boy had already figured out the system. He looked at Lizetta, immediately threw his arms open, and babbled in a sweet, soft voice.

"Ma-ma."

Lizetta felt her heart completely melt. Beaming, she took Joy and planted two heavy kisses on his soft, sweet-smelling cheeks.

"Good boy, Joy. You're so smart."

Joy wrapped his arms around Lizetta's neck, kicked his little legs excitedly, and called out again.

"Ma-ma, ma-ma."

Nathan entirely forgot his anger. Watching the scene, he was completely smitten.

He took two steps forward, standing right beside them.
