Shattered Illusions Love Lies and Redemption (Lizetta and Remington) novel Chapter 1317

But a second later, his son's soft, babbling voice rang out.

"Yeah-yeah... Yeah-yeah ah ah ya."

Even though the pronunciation was sloppy, it unmistakably sounded like 'Grandpa'.

Nathan was incredibly flattered. He froze for a second before bursting into a hearty laugh.

Shaking off Joseph's grip, he stopped dead in his tracks.

"Joy called me Grandpa! You're such a good boy. Come on, say it again for Grandpa."

He started walking back toward Joy, instantly turning Remington's handsome face black with rage.

Remington hadn't welcomed Nathan in the first place, and now he wanted nothing more than to physically throw the man out the window.

Taking two steps forward, Remington blocked Nathan's path with an icy glare.

"You misheard him. Since you're so exhausted from your trip, hurry up and go home to rest."

Before Nathan could get another word in with Joy, Remington blocked his line of sight, shoved him out into the hallway, and slammed the hospital door shut.

Remington turned around, his expression dark, and marched over to settle the score with the little traitor in Lizetta's arms.

Fine, calling his mother first was acceptable.

He had no complaints about that. After all, Lizetta had suffered so much for this child. If the kid hadn't called her first, Remington himself wouldn't have allowed it and would have spanked him.

But he was the boy's father! He had taken a bullet to save him!

How was he losing to Nathan?

"What is wrong with you, kid!?"

Remington's voice was low and stern. Joy clearly sensed his father's anger.

Seeing Remington reaching out for him, Joy tightened his grip around Lizetta's neck and buried his face hard into her chest.

Lizetta found the whole thing hilarious. She quickly turned her back to Remington, shielding the baby.

"Stop scaring him."
