It looks like Kimberley is pretty patient with him too; they were laughing and chatting. Jerome, if you really have feelings for her, you better move fast. Otherwise, you might lose your chance forever."

After she finished speaking, Lizetta held her breath and listened closely to the silence on his end.

Sure enough, she heard Jerome's breathing falter, followed by what sounded like a quiet scoff.

Jerome's clear, composed voice filled the room.

"I just saw her two days ago at the hospital in Tranquil Meadows. She looked perfectly fine. Are you absolutely sure she's been hospitalized?"

Lizetta froze. She genuinely hadn't expected him to have seen Kimberley so recently.
