From the backseat, Dante stared at the driver with a heavy, stern gaze.
"Next time I get drunk, take me straight back to Belvedere Gardens or the family estate."
The driver tensed and quickly explained, "I'm sorry, Mr. Hayes. I was going to take you to Belvedere Gardens last night, but Ms. Ambrose insisted I bring you both here."
"Enough. Just remember it for next time."
Dante leaned back, massaging his throbbing temples.
Right then, Vivienne called him. "Dante, I stayed up organizing my materials at the studio before coming to find you at the club. Could you check if I left my original sketches in your car?"
He glanced around and spotted a folder tucked in the corner of the backseat.
"Yeah."
He added, "Tell me where I'm parked and you can come get them."
The launch event required physical copies for verification; digital files weren't accepted. It was a strict rule.
Between changing clothes and doing her makeup, Vivienne was running out of time. She pleaded softly.
"Dante, if I come to you, I'll definitely be late. Could you please drop them off at the hotel for me?"
He checked his watch. He still had time before the morning meeting, so he agreed.
"Fine."
Quinn parked her car and took the elevator to the ground floor of the hotel, where she met up with her assistants, Sophie Sutton and Sarah Sterling.
"Do we have all the materials ready?"
Sarah patted the folder with a smile. "Don't worry! It's all right here."
Quinn nodded in satisfaction. Just as she turned around, she heard Vivienne's voice.
"Quinn, you're here early!"
Quinn didn't even bother looking in her direction, speaking only to her assistants. "Let's go."
"Vivienne, some people just don't know their place. No matter how hard she tries, it's useless. Ms. Quincy already decided to take you on as her student, and she's completely clueless."
