"Boss, the last few times you told me to buy asthma medication, I thought it was weird. Are these gifts for the exact same person?"

"But Boss, out of these three things, only one of them is barely presentable. The other two are ridiculously cheap. Won't the lady think you're insanely stingy?"

Raymond stared at Caleb, his thin lips pressed into a tight, silent line, making Caleb's scalp prickle with fear.

Raymond truly felt Caleb was lacking professional composure.

"Caleb, the way you're acting right now, I think I need to consider finding a new assistant."

"No, no, no, Boss!" Caleb immediately surrendered, pinching his fingers together and pantomiming zipping his lips.

"I'm shutting up. I won't say another word. Just don't fire me!"

Raymond let out a low scoff, deciding to let him off the hook this time.

Watching Raymond walk away, Caleb patted his chest in pure terror.

He was only looking out for the boss! That was way too close—he almost lost his paycheck!

After playing with his Transformer for a bit, Leo started getting sleepy, so Lydia took him upstairs for a bath.

Quinn's head was still swimming. Just as she was about to head upstairs for a shower herself, the front door opened, and Raymond walked in.

"Why are you back so soon?"

She hadn't been that strict; she explicitly told him he could stay out late.

Then she noticed the bags in his hands, wondering if he hadn't gone on a date at all, but just went out shopping.

The man walked over and set the bags down in front of her.

"What's this?" Quinn asked, her eyelashes fluttering in confusion.

"Birthday presents."

"Huh?"

His voice was deep and steady. "Aren't you going to open them?"
