Silas had just finished working overtime and was heading to his car in the underground parking garage.

Hearing Dante ask about the divorce certificate again caught him slightly off guard.

"Mr. Hayes, I reported this to you previously. There is no record of a divorce between you and Mrs. Hayes in the system."

"That's not right."

Dante's expression was unfathomably dark and frigid.

Time and time again, whether from Quinn herself or the suspicious behavior of his mother and Vivienne, Dante's sharp intuition had picked up that something was deeply wrong.

When Silas first reported that there was no divorce record on file, he had let his guard down. Looking back now, he had been foolishly careless.

"If it's not in the public database, stop looking there."

Dante's tone was eerily calm. "Tomorrow, find a way to access their internal circulation logs, the physical sign-out sheets for certificates, and their hardcopy archives. You'll definitely find some sort of trail."

With the orders given, Dante finally walked out of the lounge.

Exhausted from the evening, Quinn collapsed into bed and fell asleep instantly.

Dante, however, couldn't relax so easily. He returned to the banquet and continued socializing until every last guest had left, only heading upstairs afterward.

The master bedroom door was tightly shut. He stood and stared at it for a few seconds before turning and walking into the guest room next door.

"Hey, Lucas, how is Vivienne doing?"

After rushing Vivienne to the hospital earlier, the doctors had determined a few cuts were quite deep, requiring them to administer local anesthesia and stitch her up.

Vivienne naturally wanted Dante to stay with her at the hospital. But Dante knew he couldn't completely abandon his own banquet, so he called the Ambrose family. Lucas arrived quickly, allowing Dante to finally leave.

Since the accident happened at the Hayes family event, and she was injured saving him, it was only right for him to call and check in now that his hosting duties were over.

Over the phone, Lucas replied, "The doctor prescribed painkillers after the procedure. She's already asleep."

"Let me know if you need anything," Dante said, before finally hanging up.

Early the next morning, Samuel and Mrs. Hayes moved back to their main estate, and Quinn started packing her things.

Dante glared at Quinn's suitcase in displeasure.

"Are you really in such a rush to leave?"

Quinn looked at him flatly. "We agreed I was only coming to put on a show for the guests. Why would I overstay my welcome now that the party is over?"
