Fortunately, Dante's parents had both gone to the corporate office. Not having to face them made the visit much easier to endure.

"Mrs. Hayes, you're back!"

Seeing her arrive, the housekeeper, Mrs. Gable, hurried over to greet her.

"Where's Grandma?" Quinn asked, looking around but failing to spot the elderly woman.

"Oh, she was feeling a bit cooped up, so she went out to the garden. She asked me to send you and the young master over as soon as you arrived."

"Alright."

Holding her son's hand, Quinn walked into the garden. There, she saw her grandmother sitting in a wheelchair, admiring a vibrant cluster of crepe myrtle bushes and holding a few freshly clipped floral branches.

At this sight, a warm smile touched Quinn's eyes as she slowly approached.

"Grandma, what are you doing?"

"Quinn, Leo, you're here!" Old Mrs. Hayes turned her head, her eyes lighting up with absolute joy at the sight of them.

"Look how beautiful these flowers are blooming. Yara, take these inside and arrange them in a vase for me."

"Leo, say hello to your great-grandmother!"

The little boy flashed a bright smile and called out sweetly, "Great-grandma!"

Old Mrs. Hayes was genuinely surprised. She hadn't seen the boy in months, and he was clearly much braver now, no longer the painfully shy child he used to be.

"Quinn, let's go sit in the gazebo over there. With your asthma, you shouldn't be around all this pollen for too long."

Quinn nodded and wheeled her to the distant gazebo.

The maids had already set out a tray of pastries and herbal tea.

"Faye, I left the toys I brought for Leo in the ground-floor cabinet. Take him over and see if he likes them."
