Quinn's face turned completely red, a furious blush burning all the way down to her neck.

She mentally cursed her short-circuiting brain. Why hadn't she just sent him a text? Why did she have to come knock on his door?

She had only wanted to remind him to get his documents ready, completely oblivious to the fact that he was in the middle of a shower.

Stumbling onto such an intimate, sexually charged scene entirely unprepared made her heart pound so violently she thought it might leap out of her throat.

She stood frozen in shock for a dozen seconds before instinct finally kicked in, and she scrambled to pull the door shut and back away.

"Who is it?"

A cool, deep male voice pierced through the steam, hitting her ears. It was husky, magnetic, and dripping with the lazy languor of a fresh shower.

Quinn wanted to run, but it was already too late.

The next second, the running water abruptly stopped.

The glass door slid open from the inside.

The man emerged, still enveloped in a halo of warm steam, a pure white towel wrapped loosely around his hips.

Crystal-clear water droplets clung to his chiseled chest, sliding tantalizingly down his taut muscles until they completely disappeared past his V-line.

Raymond's dark hair was still dripping wet, a few rogue strands clinging to his strong forehead. Stripped of his usual cold, daytime restraint, he radiated a feral, lazy magnetism.

"Did you need something?"

He looked up, his dark, bottomless eyes landing precisely on the doorway—

Right onto the woman who was standing frozen like a stone statue.

His gaze was calm, but that suffocatingly untouchable, forbidden aura was so damn seductive!

Quinn remained rooted to the spot, her eyes darting around in blind panic, utterly terrified to look directly at him as her gaze floated aimlessly toward the walls.

"S-sorry, I didn't know you were in the shower."

Her voice was breathy and soft, barely a whisper, thick with obvious fluster and embarrassment.

Raymond stepped slowly out of the bathroom, walking barefoot across the floor, leaving faint wet footprints in his wake.

Even clad in nothing but a towel, his strides were relaxed and nonchalant, looking exactly as he did when he returned home from work in a tailored suit.

Quinn was genuinely curious: how did he manage to not look the slightest bit awkward or self-conscious?
