"Thank you, Raymond!"
The little boy thanked him joyfully and eagerly dug into his treat.
Raymond then shifted his gaze, looking at Wesley, who was seated quietly nearby.
"Mr. Wycliffe, I appreciate you making the trip to Riverton."
Wesley didn't bother beating around the bush. "It's all thanks to your boundless generosity, Mr. Moretti. VGC Global outsourced its entire annual legal work to my firm. With that level of sincerity, I couldn't possibly refuse."
That was a mountain of cash they were talking about. How could he say no?
Raymond smirked slightly and added, "My wife doesn't know my true identity yet, so I'll need you to keep it an absolute secret."
"Don't worry. I am only here to win a lawsuit. I won't breathe a word about anything else."
Raymond nodded in satisfaction.
Just then, Quinn and Tara pushed the door open and returned to the room, instantly cutting off the men's conversation.
Once dinner wrapped up, Quinn refused to let Wesley take a cab. She had Raymond drive Wesley to his hotel first before heading back to Lunas Crest.
Kids always fell asleep on car rides, and Leo was no exception.
Shortly after dropping the lawyer off, the little boy slumped against Quinn and drifted off to sleep.
His soft, pale face was relaxed, his long eyelashes resting against his cheeks like delicate little fans. Watching him sleep so peacefully was incredibly endearing.
Quinn felt a profound sense of tranquility wash over her in that moment.
Mr. Wycliffe was exceptionally capable and would undoubtedly handle the divorce perfectly. She was so grateful she had fought to keep this baby from the very beginning. With Leo by her side, no matter what happened, she would always have the strength to push forward.
Even if she didn't know who his biological father was.
That detail didn't diminish her love for him in the slightest.
The lighting in the backseat was soft and warm. Quinn held Leo a little tighter.
She rested her chin gently against his fluffy, soft hair, rubbing affectionately against him, her heart overflowing with maternal love.
