Raymond started the engine, his expression focused as he drove them into the city.

When they arrived at The Quintessence, Raymond pulled up to the entrance and turned to Quinn. "You take everyone up to the VIP suite on the seventeenth floor. I'll go park the car."

Quinn led her team into the wildly luxurious suite on the seventeenth floor.

The decor was stunningly modern, featuring a massive dining table and floor-to-ceiling windows offering a breathtaking view of the dazzling city skyline.

As everyone settled in and excitedly chatted about the menu, Quinn's phone rang. It was a wealthy socialite calling to inquire about a custom dress.

Quinn stepped out of the private room, standing in the hallway to negotiate. They eventually agreed to meet in person a few days later.

Just as she hung up, the elevator doors slid open, and Raymond strode out.

His eyes locked onto her as he walked over, his voice dropping into a low, teasing drawl.

"Why haven't you gone in? Were you waiting out here just for me?"

"Missed your husband that much already?"

She couldn't handle his teasing at all, her face immediately burning red.

"Nobody was waiting for you! You are so full of yourself!"

Raymond chuckled deeply, smoothly stepping forward to intertwine his fingers with hers.

"Alright, you didn't miss me. I just missed you."

Still holding her hand, he pushed open the door and led her back inside.

At the far end of the corridor, Luke Bennett was walking toward his own private room with a group of business associates.

He casually glanced down the hall, spotted the couple, and stopped dead in his tracks.

He raised a hand and rubbed his eyes in utter disbelief, his jaw practically hitting the floor.

The man who had just been holding a woman's hand, smiling at her with such sickeningly sweet affection... Was that really Raymond?

He seriously wondered if he was hallucinating.

Other people might not know, but Luke knew better than anyone.

Raymond had always been impossibly cold and completely celibate. He never let women anywhere near him. Honestly, you couldn't even find a female mosquito in his vicinity.
