Hearing old Mrs. Moretti's words, Quinn zoned out for a moment.
Raymond was ridiculously handsome and perfectly built. Throw in the fact that he was a business titan and a legend in Harbor Heights at such a young age, countless women would practically throw themselves at his feet.
She had asked him once if he had ever dated anyone before. He said no, claiming she was his first in everything.
She hadn't bought it, but thinking back to their first time... he really had been a bit clumsy.
But how was that possible? How could a man standing at the absolute pinnacle of the world only have eyes for her?
What was so special about her to catch his attention so quickly?
Aside from assuming he approached her solely to secure his grip on the Moretti empire, she couldn't find a single logical reason.
"Quinn, do you think you could give Ray another chance?"
Her thoughts snapped back to the present. Meeting the elderly woman's hopeful gaze, Quinn couldn't bring herself to be harsh.
She simply said, "Grandma, everything happened so fast today. I just need a little time to process it."
Old Mrs. Moretti didn't push it. She nodded in understanding. "Alright. Take your time to think."
"Sigh... I'm just worried that if you dump him, he'll end up dying alone."
The driver pulled up outside Aura Studio. Quinn's mind was a mess, and she figured throwing herself into work would help her forget the drama for a while. That was why she had asked for the ride here.
She said goodbye to old Mrs. Moretti and stepped out of the car.
"My granddaughter-in-law is wonderful. Smart, gorgeous, and makes the most stunning dresses too!"
Speaking of her grandson, her face instantly soured in disdain. "That brat. If he liked her, he should have just said so! What was the point of pretending to be a bodyguard?!"
"Now look what happened. His cover is blown, and his wife is furious. Let's see how he plans to coax her back!"
Quinn kept busy until evening. After picking up Leo from kindergarten, they headed back to Lunas Crest.
On the drive, the little boy wouldn't stop asking about Raymond.
