Silas also managed to pull Dante away, and Dante walked over to Quinn.

"Quinn, are you alright?"

Having just been in a brawl, his hair was slightly disheveled, and the violent rage had yet to fully fade from his eyes.

Seeing Quinn lean into Raymond's embrace with such deep trust and reliance sent a sharp pang through his heart.

At the same time, an overwhelming urge surged within him to tear her out of Raymond's arms and hold her himself, to soothe and protect her.

Quinn's emotions had leveled out significantly. She looked at Dante and said softly, "I'm fine. Thank you."

Because Zane had gripped her throat so tightly, her voice was still a little raspy.

Raymond looked down at her, his eyes aching with concern. "Shall we go?"

Staying here would only make her feel worse.

With that, he scooped her up into his arms and carried her toward his car.

Dante's feet moved instinctively to follow, but then he saw Quinn resting obediently against Raymond's chest, her arms naturally looped around his neck.

He stopped in his tracks.

An immense wave of loss washed over him, stinging the corners of his eyes.

Silas approached him, asking quietly, "Mr. Hayes, are you alright?"

Dante shook his head, his voice bone-chillingly cold. "I want exactly what Raymond wants."

"Make sure that scum spends the rest of his life behind bars, and absolutely ruin Skyloft Textiles!"

"Yes, sir!"

Dante watched Raymond carry Quinn away into the distance. Finally, he turned and walked toward his own Maybach, his retreating figure radiating an aura of bitter desolation.

By the time police sirens echoed in the distance, Raymond had already started the engine and driven out of the underground parking garage.

Sitting in the back seat, Quinn looked at the silhouette of Raymond's profile in the driver's seat. "Why did you come to Savannah?"

Raymond's knuckles were white as he gripped the steering wheel, his voice low.

"I was worried about you."

Quinn's heart skipped a beat. She turned her head to look out the window and surprisingly saw little Leo.
