Even from a distance, several soft camping lights could be seen glowing at the summit, casting a warm blanket of illumination over the pitch-black peak.
Caleb had arrived early with a crew, just as Raymond instructed. A large tent was already securely pitched, surrounded by top-tier bug repellant devices. Thick, comfortable sleeping mats were laid out on the ground, and everything else was perfectly arranged.
Seeing Raymond's car pull up, Caleb hurried over, keeping his voice to a murmur.
"Boss, Ms. Yates, everything is set up."
"The tent is secure, the area is bug-free, and we've got lighting, hot tea, midnight snacks, pastries, and fruit all prepped and ready for you!"
Raymond killed the engine, his dark eyes surveying the tent ahead as he nodded. "Good work."
Caleb muttered inwardly: *You bet it is. I busted my ass for two straight hours setting up this romantic getaway for you and the missus, and my face is covered in mosquito bites...*
Quinn stepped out of the car, her expression still a mix of confusion and wonder.
"Where are we?"
Raymond reached out, taking her hand, looking down at her with absolute adoration.
"This is Emerald Peak."
At the name Emerald Peak, Quinn suddenly remembered what the bed and breakfast owner had told her on her very first day in Savannah. She had insisted that Quinn absolutely had to visit Emerald Peak, claiming the sunrise here was unparalleled and not to be missed.
A surge of genuine joy swelled in Quinn's chest. She was thrilled at the idea of seeing the sunrise—especially with him.
"Boss, our tents are pitched just over there. Holler if you need anything."
Caleb pointed toward another cluster of tents in the distance. To guarantee the family's absolute safety, he and two bodyguards would be conducting night patrols.
Once Caleb left, Raymond carefully lifted a still-sleeping Leo and gently placed him onto the thick mattress inside the tent.
The little guy was a heavy sleeper; even all this movement didn't wake him. His long eyelashes rested against his cheeks like tiny fans, his little face flushed and incredibly adorable.
