Tara gritted her teeth in absolute fury. "She perfectly timed that fake faint! And your deadbeat ex just fell for it like a total idiot!"
The clerk, watching Dante frantically carry Vivienne away, suddenly lost all his fear and resumed shooing them off.
"Move along! Get out of here!"
Tara shot him a venomous glare. "You arrogant little prick. Even without Dante, I can still end your career!"
"Don't you worry, Quinn, I'm calling in the cavalry."
Tara expertly scrolled through her phone's contacts.
Locking her eyes on the name 'Julian Zale' printed on the clerk's badge, she hit dial and spoke with razor-sharp authority.
"Thomas, look into the reviewing department of the Lumina Fashion Competition. There's a guy named Julian Zale."
"He's deliberately fabricating scandals to block my friend's registration and rejecting her application without cause. Deal with it immediately."
On the other end, a highly respectful voice replied, "Rest assured, Ms. Moore. I will take care of it right away."
Hanging up, Tara tilted her chin defiantly at Julian. "Just wait. Someone is going to be having a little chat with you very soon."
Barely a moment later, a group of executives in sharp suits marched toward their booth.
Tara's eyes widened in sheer disbelief.
She had literally just hung up the phone. When did Thomas become this incredibly efficient?
Leading the group was a distinguished, stern-faced middle-aged man. It was Mr. Fletcher, the highest-ranking executive of the Lumina Fashion Competition.
Julian's pupils shrank, his smug arrogance vaporizing instantly.
He scrambled out of his chair, standing rigidly upright and bowing with trembling respect.
"M-Mr. Fletcher! What brings you here personally?"
His heart pounded as he snuck a terrified glance at Tara. He never imagined this woman possessed such terrifying connections.
With just a few sentences, the matter was entirely settled.
Quinn breathed a sigh of relief. The heavy, suffocating weight that had pressed against her chest all morning finally vanished.
Tara crossed her arms and arched a brow, smirking down at Julian. "Well, Mr. Zale, why so quiet? Where did all that arrogance go?"
She scoffed. "You thought you could abuse a tiny bit of power and push people around. Looks like you messed with the wrong crowd."
Quinn gave Mr. Fletcher a polite nod. "Thank you for handling this fairly, Mr. Fletcher."
"The Lumina Fashion Competition truly lives up to its reputation as a top-tier event. Fair, transparent, and completely intolerant of corruption. It's incredibly reassuring."
Mr. Fletcher looked genuinely apologetic as he responded. "It was an oversight on our part that caused you such an ordeal, Miss Yates. You have my deepest apologies."
"You can submit your documents right now. I will personally oversee the entire process. Rest assured."
After he finished speaking, Mr. Fletcher's gaze drifted toward the distance, briefly meeting a pair of dark, intense eyes.
