"You seem to know quite a lot about fashion?"
Tara couldn't hold back anymore and eagerly jumped in to hype up her best friend.
"Ms. Quincy, she doesn't just know fashion—she majored in design and has won tons of emerging designer awards since graduation!"
Lillian's interest was piqued. "Is that so?"
Quinn nodded. "Yes. I majored in fashion design, and throughout my career, I've always deeply admired your design philosophy."
"Oh?" Lillian raised an eyebrow, testing her. "And what would you say my design philosophy is?"
Without a second of hesitation, Quinn replied, "Your work never chases pure extravagance. It balances strength with warmth."
"There's a fierce edge hidden within its softness, a grand vision within its elegance, all while perfectly capturing a timeless, radiant charm."
"That is the standard I strive for every day."
Sometimes, a true connection didn't require many words.
Deep appreciation filled Lillian's eyes, and her smile grew noticeably warmer.
She had come from humble beginnings, starting in a tiny tailor shop. Before she made a name for herself, no one gave her a second glance.
She fought tooth and nail for every bit of success.
Gradually, her small shop turned into a design studio, then a corporation, and eventually a massive production line.
From there, she took her business to Harbor Heights, expanded overseas, and showcased her exquisite designs to the entire international fashion world.
Now that she was famous, plenty of people kissed up to her, but very few truly understood the core soul of her work.
The young woman standing before her not only had an incredible eye for beauty but also completely understood her art.
More importantly, her sincerity was undeniable.
Lillian just wondered if her actual design skills matched her words.
Reading Lillian's thoughts, Quinn added, "I recently entered the competition. If I am lucky enough to receive some guidance from you during the contest, it would be the greatest honor of my career."
Her tone was filled with the genuine humility of a junior seeking mentorship.
Pulling herself from her thoughts, Lillian offered an apologetic smile, said her goodbyes to Quinn and Tara, and followed the staff member away.
"Yes! Quinn, we finally made contact. This was worth every penny."
Quinn was equally thrilled.
"Dinner is on me tonight!"
Unfortunately, someone had to ruin the mood right at that moment.
Dante's tall frame suddenly loomed over them. He stared down at Quinn, his Adam's apple bobbing.
"Quinn, six hundred thousand is a massive sum, and you're trying to open a new studio. You don't have that kind of liquid cash."
"Since you love the dress so much, I'll pay for it, and you keep it."
After all, his original plan had been to win it for her.
There was no reason for her to drain her own accounts.
