The moment Quinn saw Dante, a fresh wave of anger flared in her chest.

If he hadn't relentlessly driven up the price, she wouldn't have had to pay several times the gown's worth.

Tara was equally disgusted. She stepped in front of Quinn, crossed her arms, and went straight for the throat.

"Oh, look who wants to play the generous billionaire now! Who was the one aggressively outbidding us just to impress his precious little sidepiece?"

"Quinn won it with her own money. She doesn't need you trying to play the hero after the fact."

She paused, her eyes dripping with sarcasm. "What a shame, though. You put on that whole show, and you still lost. Did that two-faced snake throw a tantrum?"

Right on cue, the woman in question marched over in her heels, her face flushed with indignity. "Tara Moore, who are you insulting?"

Tara looked her up and down.

"Someone who reeks of desperation and acts like a scheming little homewrecker. Put it together—that's you."

Vivienne's face turned beet red. "You... you're twisting things!"

"I'm not twisting anything. When I want to ruin someone's day, I don't hide behind pleasantries."

"I'm insulting you. What are you going to do about it? Bite me?"

Quinn felt her fingers itch the moment Vivienne put on her pathetic, victimized act.

She shot Dante a freezing glare. "Dante, get her out of my sight."

If they didn't leave right now, she was going to slap Vivienne again, right in front of him.

Once you slapped someone, doing it a second time was much easier.

Vivienne shrank closer to Dante's side. "Quinn, Dante wasn't doing it on purpose. He just saw how much I loved the dress and wanted to buy it for me..."

Dante glanced down at Vivienne. Just as he opened his mouth to clarify things, Quinn's icy voice cut him off.

"Tara, do you want to hit her first, or should we go at the same time?"

Tara tilted her head, ready for battle. "You grab her hair, I'll take the face."

A flawless strategy.

Vivienne was stunned into silence.

Her cheek and scalp still ached from the previous encounter. She quickly tugged on Dante's sleeve. "Dante, Quinn is just really upset right now. Let's just go."

Dante frowned.

He had witnessed Quinn's explosive temper at the registration site days ago.

"In what capacity are you going, exactly? As Dante's mistress?"

Tara sneered. "You cling to a married man all day, and you still think you have the moral high ground."

Vivienne flushed angrily. "Yasmine is my best friend, and she's marrying my brother, Leon! I'm an invited guest!"

She lowered her voice and added, "Besides, everyone knows Dante and Quinn have a terrible marriage..."

That was all it took for Tara's explosive temper to ignite. She was ready to throw hands.

"How about you and I step into the stairwell and have a little chat?"

What happens in a stairwell? Nothing good. Vivienne snapped her mouth shut in sheer terror.

Sensing a brawl was imminent, Dante interrupted them in a heavy tone.

"The Yates family will handle the arrangements. There's no need to argue about it here."

He turned to Quinn. "I'll pick you up at five-thirty on Tuesday."

Without waiting for a response, he turned and left. Vivienne, too scared to push her luck, hurried after him.

Right before she disappeared, she threw a smug glance over her shoulder at Quinn.
