After all, she was entering this competition with the goal of winning, not just scraping past the preliminary round.

Suddenly, a shadow fell over her desk.

Looking up, she saw Raymond standing there.

He placed several small prescription bottles down in front of her.

The labels were entirely in English, and she couldn't immediately decipher what they were.

"What are these?"

"Medication for your asthma," Raymond replied in his usual deep voice.

Quinn blinked in surprise. "Did your friend get these for you again?"

"Yeah."

"Were they expensive?"

"Not this time."

His assistant, Caleb Jenkins, had specifically sourced them according to Raymond's exact instructions—reasonably priced, but highly effective.

"Make sure you take them consistently. They'll do wonders for your asthma."

"Okay, I'll transfer the money to you in a minute."

The inhaler he had given her last time had worked incredibly well. Quinn had to admit, his connections were vastly superior to hers.

That specific inhaler had been an imported, state-of-the-art specialized drug that couldn't be bought even with endless amounts of money.

Someone with that kind of pull had to be his mysterious 'Cullinan Boyfriend.'

So, technically, she was reaping the benefits of his relationship.

Quinn tapped on her phone and transferred the funds to him.

She even made sure to remind him, "Money's sent. Don't forget to forward it to your 'friend.'"

Raymond nodded, accepting the transfer.

But there was something oddly peculiar about the way she emphasized the word *friend*.

Just as he was trying to figure out her tone, Quinn's phone began to ring.

"Hey, Quinn. I heard from a friend about what happened when you went back to the Yates house. Are you okay?"

Tara Moore's voice was thick with worry.

Tara sounded genuinely confused before switching to a probing tone.

"Quinn, be honest with me. Are you still hung up on Dante?"

The moment Tara asked that question, Quinn swore the temperature around the man standing beside her plummeted below freezing.

"Tara, stop talking nonsense."

Quinn quickly deflected, muttered a few random excuses, and hastily hung up the phone.

She turned around, locking eyes with Raymond's dark, penetrating stare.

"I just... haven't told Tara about us getting married yet. I'll find a chance to tell her later."

But Raymond clearly didn't care about that part.

He offered a cold, clipped "Whatever" and turned to head upstairs.

Watching his broad, icy back retreat, Quinn couldn't help but grumble in her head.

*We are literally in a fake contract marriage! Why is he acting so mad?*

*He's out there with a whole boyfriend, and I'm not throwing a fit about it!*
