Autumn’s gaze hardened. “I’ve never taken back anything I’ve given away.”
“You can give things to anyone. You can even keep 100 men if you want. I don’t care,” Isabella snapped. “But you have no right to make advances toward my husband. That’s immoral.”
The two women stood rigidly opposed.
Autumn said coolly, “You keep saying ‘my husband‘ over and over, but you’ll be divorced in a little over half a month.”
Isabella replied coldly, “We only have a minor misunderstanding. Even if it goes to court, we won’t get divorced. No matter what you’re plotting, you’re destined to fail.”
“A minor misunderstanding?” Autumn snorted and laughed with open scorn.
Isabella narrowed her eyes, a dangerous glint flashing through them. “What are you laughing at?”
“I’m laughing at how foolish you are!” Autumn jeered. “You shouldn’t be called Isabella. You should call yourself Dumb–abella. Hahaha!”
She clutched her stomach as she laughed, her voice dripping with ridicule.
Isabella frowned.
Autumn’s eyes flickered. Then she said abruptly, “You don’t deserve Dominic. Get divorced. I’ll take good care of him and never let him feel wronged.”
Those words turned Isabella’s gaze vicious.
“Do you want to die?” She enunciated each word, a trace of madness creeping into her voice.
“Oh, I’m so scared!” Autumn patted her chest, her tone thick with mockery and sarcasm.
Isabella snarled, “Autumn, if you dare steal my husband, you’re forcing me into a fight to the death!”
Autumn’s smile vanished. She stared at Isabella for a long moment, then shook her head.
“What’s that look supposed to mean?” Isabella demanded.
“I pity you.” Autumn spoke with calm certainty. “Even now, you still refuse to face the real problem. Coming here to provoke me is pure stupidity. Even without me, there will be other women. You’re destined to lose Dominic.”
Isabella’s heart pounded violently against her ribs.
Autumn continued, “You still don’t understand how serious the consequences of your actions are. You’re blindly confident. You think nothing is wrong, even though his attitude toward you has already changed.”
Isabella’s heart quivered, but she forced herself to insist, “He just misunderstood me. He still loves me.” “You have no idea how severe the things you did actually are. That blind confidence of yours is laughable.” Autumn let out a dismissive snort. Then she pulled out her phone, called Dominic, and put it on speaker.
Before long, Dominic’s voice came through. “Hello?”
Isabella’s eyes widened, and she was about to speak.
Autumn spoke first. As if she had become someone else, her voice softened and filled with grievance, laced with

sobs. “Dominic… Wah… Isabella brought people here to cause trouble. S–She even hit me… Wah…”
Dominic sounded startled. “Really?”
Isabella froze. When had she ever brought anyone? When had she ever hit her?
“I was only trying to return the money for the house,” she said urgently.
She tried to explain, but Autumn cried even louder. “Dominic, she slapped me with her bank card and humiliated me. She said the house money was mine, but she also said I’m not allowed to have any contact with you anymore… Wah…”
Isabella panicked. This was blatant fabrication, twisting black into white.
