Chapter 118
Dominic’s cheek twitched, and anger hit him so hard it almost felt like a heart attack. He clenched his teeth and replied.
[If you added even one punctuation mark, I’d believe you.]
On the other end, Lilith hugged her phone. When she saw her father’s reply, her small face scrunched up in frustration. She could not type properly at all. Everything she sent relied on speech–to–text.
After a moment of thought, a mischievous look crossed her eyes. She cleared her throat, pressed the record button, and pinched her voice. “Honey I’m really Mommy.”
Then she carefully added punctuation herself.
[Honey, I’m really Mommy?]
She sent the message with complete confidence, fully convinced her father would not notice.
When Dominic saw it, the veins on his forehead bulged. He sneered and sent a voice message. “Lilith Fleming, you’re done.”
After that, he set the phone aside and ignored her.
Beside him, Katherine clutched her chest, laughing so hard she nearly lost her breath. After a long while, she finally settled down and said, “Lily is such a clever little rascal. No idea who she learned it from.”
Dominic shook his head helplessly, started the car, and drove toward the supermarket to buy groceries.
On the way, Katherine suddenly asked, “Sigh, what are you planning to do?”
“What? Do what?”
She shot him an annoyed glare. “Don’t play dumb. You know exactly what I’m asking.”
Dominic shook his head. “What else? Divorce.”
“You’re really divorcing her?”
“What else could I do? I can’t accept what she’s done.”
His calm tone told Katherine he was not acting on impulse. He had already made up his mind.
She sighed. “I’ve never been in a relationship, but I think… which couple doesn’t fight? It’s not like Bella actually had someone else. This could be a lack of boundaries, maybe? Anyway, what I mean is, if she truly realizes her mistake, divorce isn’t the only option, right?”
After speaking, she tilted her head. Her bright eyes studied Dominic seriously as she waited for his answer.
Her brother–in–law was useless in every way except his looks, but his looks really were something. After stating for a few seconds, her heartbeat sped up, and she lowered her head to avoid looking at him.
Dominic let out a quiet laugh. What Katherine said was not wrong, but those considerations only mattered when nothing serious had happened.
But now, he had truly died once.
“Katherine, there are things you don’t know. I don’t want to explain further, but this marriage has to end.” His tone stayed firm, without the slightest hesitation.
Katherine frowned. ‘Is there something I don’t know? Or has Isabella snapped again? Wait, why again? Never mind. That’s not important.‘

She cleared her throat and asked tentatively, “Did you find out something?”
Dominic looked at her in surprise. “What do you mean? Find out what?”
From his expression, Katherine concluded he knew nothing about her sister and that person. She quickly shook her head and forced a smile. “Nothing!”
