Isabella took a deep breath and forced the blood rushing to her head back down. She gnashed her teeth. “Autumn, did you fall into a cesspit? Why is your mouth full of crap?”
Autumn froze. Her expression changed, flushing blue before draining pale. This time, Isabella had struck her weak spot dead-
Autumn completely lost her temper. She spoke as she rolled up her sleeves. “Old woman, you’re asking for it!”
Isabella was already furious. She swept her hair up and tied it back, her voice turning icy. “You foul–mouthed brat. I’ll teach you a lesson today.”
A crowd had already gathered. As they took in the scene, excitement rippled through them.
“Fight, fight!”
“Tear her clothes! Grab her hair!”
Just as the fight was about to erupt, Katherine kept her composure. She knew the spectacle could not continue, so she stepped between them. “Alright, enough. Are you two really about to start fighting?”
Autumn shot her a cold glare. “Who are you?”
Katherine replied evenly, “I’m Lily’s aunt. Dominic and Lily are about to go to bed. If you’re not planning to go in there and sleep with him, I suggest you head home.”
It had to be said, she delivered the line beautifully.
Autumn immediately sensed how sharp–tongued this woman was. She stiffened for several seconds, let out a cold snort, and turned away.
She had planned to use picking up her car as an excuse to chat with Dominic for a while. Katherine, however, blocked her completely with a single sentence, leaving her no choice but to leave.
After all, Dominic was not divorced yet. With things taken this far, going upstairs would have crossed into outright immorality.
After Auturnn left, Isabella was still seething. “You shouldn’t have stopped us!”
“And what should I have done?”
“You hold her down, and I’ll beat her!”
Katherine laughed. “And then Dominic comes downstairs and scolds you again. Did you forget how many times he beat up Alexander? What was your attitude every single time?”
At that, Isabella’s expression paled, just as it always did. After a long pause, she sighed in defeat. “Fine. I get it. Let’s go home.”
When would this boomerang, finally stop?
At that moment, she wanted nothing more than to strangle her past self.
Dominic had no idea what had happened downstairs.
After finishing the housework, he finally sat on the sofa and scrolled through reels for a while.
Not long after, Lilith ran out. “Daddy, I’m done with my homework!”
Dominic did not even look up. “Then go shower and get ready for bed.”

“I want… to play on your phone for a bit,” the girl whispered.
Dominic frowned, glanced at her, and said, “No.”
Lilith pouted and stared at him in silence. Her eyes turned pitiful and watery, carrying three parts grievance, three parts sadness, and four parts hope.
After a few seconds of eye contact, Dominic caved. He waved his hand. “Alright, alright. Go. But only 20 minutes.”
Her eyes lit up instantly. Her expression flipped in a blink, and she rushed over to kiss his cheek. “Yay! Daddy’s the best in the world!”
She then ran happily toward the cabinet.
The softhearted father watched her go and shook his head helplessly. A smile tugged at his lips before he realized it.
The next day passed without incident.
Isabella did not come looking for him. Dominic enjoyed the rare quiet, so he drove the Ferrari to Autumn’s place.
She seized the chance to offer him a ride back.
