Chapter 125
The moment he entered the company, quite a few people began sizing him up, especially the female colleagues. Many pairs of eyes lit up, and more than a few glances lingered on him.
Dominic stood out too much to go unnoticed. His features were sharp, his build tall, and his outfit that day drew attention without trying. He looked energetic, with a presence that naturally commanded notice.
A woman in her 30s walked over and spoke. “Hey, handsome, do you need any help?”
She looked presentable, dressed in a fitted pencil skirt that showed off her figure and added a touch of charm. A work badge hung around her neck. Her name read Denise Foster.
Dominic smiled. “Miss Foster, my name’s Dominic. I passed the interview the other day. I’m here to complete my onboarding.”
Denise’s eyes brightened at once.
She was not the only one. Several people in the office area wore looks of surprise.
It was Dominic’s first day, and everything still felt unfamiliar.
Denise spoke with enthusiasm. “Come with me. We’ll go to HR for your onboarding.”
“Thank you, Miss Foster.”
Onboarding did not require a manager’s presence, so Dominic did not see George.
When they reached the HR office, Denise knocked and said, “Miss Sue, there’s a new employee here for onboarding.”
A woman in her fifties lifted her head, glanced at Dominic, acknowledged him with a sound, and said, “Dominic, right? Fill out
this form.”
Denise turned to him. “Fill it out first. If anything’s unclear, come ask me. I’m in Customer Service.”
Dominic nodded and smiled. “Thanks, Miss Foster.”
He began working through the onboarding procedures. When he looked at the signed employment contract, he snapped a photo and felt a surge of emotion. From today onward, he was officially a corporate worker.
He did not resist the thought. In fact, it felt pretty good.
“Miss Sue, what’s my arrangement after this?” Dominic asked.
She had not introduced herself, and he did not know her name, so he addressed her the same way Denise had.
She replied evenly, “Go to Sales Team Gamma. Learn with them for now. In a couple of days, you’ll start cold–calling. For specific arrangements, ask your team leader.”
“Alright.” Dominic smiled and left the office.
JewelMed occupied several thousand square feet. Beyond more than a dozen offices, the space included a large open–plan work
area.
Dominic scanned the signs, found Sales Team Gamma, and walked over.
“Hi, I was assigned to Sales Team Gamma today. Who’s the team leader?”
There were six workstations, but only three were occupied. Two people were on calls, so Dominic approached the only man who
was free.
The man looked about the same age as Dominic. He immediately extended his hand with a friendly grin. “Oh, bro, you’re new? Nice to meet you. I’m Daniel Warner.”

Dominic shook his hand. “Nice to meet you. I’m Dominic Fleming.”
Daniel said, “The team leader went out to visit clients. He’s having dinner with them tonight, so you probably won’t see him today. You can start by looking through the company’s product information.”
He handed Dominic a stack of materials, his manner warm and easygoing.
At that moment, Dominic felt that the work atmosphere was surprisingly good.
He focused on studying the products, and time slipped by quickly.
Before he realized it, it was 4:00 p.m.
Dominic checked the time and said to Daniel, “Thanks for today. I’ll treat you to a meal sometime.”
During their chat, Daniel had already learned that Dominic did not take a base salary and insisted on leaving work at 4:00 p.m.
He laughed when he heard that and waved him off. “Haha, alright!”
Dominic left the office and drove to Blossom Elementary to pick up Lilith.
On the way home, his gaze suddenly sharpened. He pulled the car over and told the girl, “Wait in the car for a bit. Daddy has something to take care of.”
