“Huh?” Lilith was utterly stunned.

Jessica patted her on the head and smiled with open pride. Two small tiger teeth showed as she said, “As long as you behave, you’re my little princess.”

The girl’s mouth puckered at once. Tears welled in her eyes as she shouted, “I’m not calling you stepmom! I only have one Mommy!”

She spun around and ran straight to her room.

Dominic reacted fast and caught her in his arms. He frowned at Jessica. “What nonsense are you talking about?”

jessica lifted her brows and laughed. “It’s inevitable. I told her ahead of time so she could get used to it.”

She pushed her suitcase inside.

Anger surged through Dominic. He pointed toward the door, his face dark. “Please leave. You’re not welcome here.”

‘Dominic, why can’t you face your feelings?” Jessica said lightly. “I’m a super, invincible beauty. At the very least, you should welcome me properly. Which room am I staying in? I need to put my things away.”

She ignored him and began to look around the room.

‘I understand.” Jessica turned to him, her large eyes wide with innocence. “And then?”

Dominic glared at her. They stared at each other in silence.

‘What rotten luck I have, getting stuck with you.” The veins at Dominic’s temple throbbed as he carried Lilith to her room.

By then, the girl had pieced things together. She looked up at him with tearful eyes. “Daddy, is she the new wife you found?”

‘No,” Dominic said firmly.

After the divorce, he might consider it, but not now. At the very least, he had to wait until Lilith grew up.

Lilith finally stopped crying and clung to him as she whimpered, “I only want Mommy. I don’t want a new one.”

Dominic smiled when he heard that. “She will always be your mom. None of us will ever leave you.”

The girl nodded.

“Alright. Get ready. It’s time to eat.” Dominic settled Lilith in her room and went back out.

Dominic looked at her coldly. “Why are you still here? If you have something to say, say it. It not, leave.”

Jessica set her phone aside and frowned at him. “Dominic, what kind of attitude is that? Didn’t I tell you already? I’m going to be Lilith’s stepmom. Starting today, I’m living here.”

Dominic laughed in anger. “You declare yourself the stepmom and that makes it true? Did I agree? Leave now. Don’t force me to throw you out.”
