The next day, Dominic woke to his alarm, dressed, and climbed out of bed.

As he passed Jessica’s room, he glanced inside and froze.

The little pervert had not even bothered to close the door. She lay sprawled across the bed, snoring loudly, with the blanket kicked onto the floor.

The scene was far too explosive to describe.

Dominic took a few steps closer, not to look more carefully, but to close the door. Even so, as he turned to leave, certain images kept flashing through his mind and refused to fade.

At the sound of the door shutting, the supposedly sound–asleep Jessica quietly cracked one eye open.

“Hehe, I got you hooked!” She smiled slyly, showing her teeth, and quickly scooped the blanket up from the floor. “Tsk, it’s still pretty cold!”

With that, she curled back up and went to sleep again. This time, she slept for real.

Dominic arrived at the office just in time.

He soon noticed that most of Sales Team Gamma was present, so he walked over and asked in confusion, “Abby, what’s going on? Why does everyone look so down?”

Abigail lifted her head to look at him. “Dominic, you’re here. Morning!”

She then lowered her head again and let out a soft sigh.

Dominic sat down at his desk and turned to Daniel beside him. “What happened?”

It was not just Abigail. Several capable team members who often went on sales calls with her also wore deeply furrowed expressions.

“You weren’t here yesterday,” Daniel said in a lowered voice. “Abby and the others are upset because Mr. Dubois‘ order is completely dead. Almost a month of work went down the drain.”

“What?” Dominic asked, startled. “Didn’t they say before that Mr. Dubois was still very interested?”

Dominic had visited David Dubois himself and knew the man had been quite satisfied with Abigail’s team and their attitude.

The problem had been that David already signed a contract with Belladom, which made him hesitant. A few days earlier, he had even agreed verbally and said he would discuss it with his wife.

How had it suddenly fallen apart?

“Because…” Daniel took a deep breath. “Something happened to him yesterday. I’ll send you the news.”
