Chapter 176
The officers still had countless matters to handle, none of which involved Dominic any longer.
He glanced at the crowd, with sobs and wails rising from every direction, shook his head, and took his leave.
Before departing, Ezra and Dominic exchanged contact information.
For Dominic, having a connection to a criminal investigation captain was always an advantage.
After leaving the house, David stopped beneath the trees and bowed deeply. “Thank you, Mr. Fleming.”
Clement followed his lead, bowing to Dominic as well. “Thank you, V!”
Dominic smiled and waved in response.
As he watched, the two figures slowly faded from view. A breeze passed through, and nothing remained before him.
Dominic stared at the spot where they had vanished for a few seconds, then released a soft sigh and headed toward the exit.
As expected, power surged once more from within his body, flooding through every part of him.
Moments after leaving the area, irritation rose sharply in his chest. “Damn it. They even put one here?”
He ripped the ticket from the windshield of the old Audi and cursed under his breath. “This round is a total loss. I’m completely
screwed.”
The last repair bill had gone on installment credit, and the coming month would be even worse.
His only savings amounted to the 1,500 dollars that the little freak had transferred to him earlier that day at the boxing gym.
This job did not look reliable either. Given Jewel’s attitude, it felt as though she wanted him to back off on his own. She likely did not want to fire him outright, out of respect for Autumn.
It seemed that he had no choice but to find another job.
Dominic shook his head and drove toward the office.
Jewel was not around, so he spent the time slacking off at his workstation.
That afternoon, Ezra proactively reached out with news.
Mandy had confessed to everything, including the full process of how she had killed David and Clement. She had detailed every step, and the only thing awaiting her was execution.
At last, the father and son could rest in peace.
Dominic let out a quiet sigh.
Ezra also brought unexpected news. Everyone involved in the case had been arrested, including Alexander.
“He was arrested?” Dominic rubbed his chin, a thoughtful expression settling over his face.
Not long afterward, Jewel arrived.
When she spotted Dominic at his desk, she paused briefly. She said nothing, offered a small nod, and went straight into her office.
Dominic followed and knocked on the door.
“Come in.” Jewel looked up when she saw him. Her tone remained flat. “What is it?”

fice matter has already been cleared up,” Dominic said
“Go fast?” The chill in jewel’s expression gave way to a flicker of surprise
Dominic sneered inwardly. I didn’t get stuck. Looks like that bothers you!
He immediately sent her the videos of Alexander and Mandy through the work app and said evenly, “The reason is all in there. I’m afraid you will be disappointed, Miss Wright. This sort of thing isn’t something an ordinary person could pull off.”
jewel did not dwell on his words. She picked up her phone and tapped play.
Rhythmic panting sounds filled the room without warning
