After a long while, Katherine finally emerged from the bathroom. A bath towel was wrapped around her, and her hair dripped steadily with water.

Her cheeks burned as she shot Lilith a fierce glare. “I told you not to open the door!”

Dominic felt awkward and rubbed the bridge of his nose. “Uh… did something happen just now?”

Katherine glared at him again. “You’re still pretending?”

Katherine sneered, “You caused trouble again today, and you still think you’re going out tonight?”

Lilith’s face darkened at once. She turned toward her father for help.

Dominic pretended not to notice. He laughed lightly and rose to his feet. “Then I’ll head back. Call me if anything comes up.”

Under the girl’s resentful stare, he took a few quick steps toward the door.

Before leaving, he turned back and offered a mild reminder. “Katherine, your towel isn’t wrapped properly.”

With that, he opened the door and bolted out.

Katherine instinctively looked down. Her face flushed scarlet as she ground her teeth. “Do–mi–nic.”

Lilith blinked. “Auntie, why are you calling Daddy? He already left.”

Just recalling what had happened made Katherine feel uncomfortable from head to toe.

She wore only a towel, and even the hem had not been secured properly.

The embarrassment made her want to disappear into the ground.
