Dominic frowned. “Your work has nothing to do with me.”

Mateo sensed the tension rising and snapped, “Who are you people? What’s going on here?”

Abigail shot Dominic a quick look, signaling him to stay quiet. She stepped forward with a composed smile. “Hello, Mr. Parker. My name is Abigail Moore. You can call me Abigail. Here’s my business card.”

She handed it to him.

Mateo glanced down and stiffened in surprise. “The Garcia Group?”

In sales, brand association mattered. Even small companies tried to attach themselves to well–known names whenever they could. Abigail’s card did exactly that. It played down JewelMed and placed the Garcia Group front and center.

She offered no explanation and simply smiled. “Sorry to trouble you. About our products-”

“You’re all liars!” Vivian cut in with a sharp, icy laugh.

Dominic’s pupils shrank.

Vivian sneered, “The Garcia Group? Don’t make me laugh. Alexander already told me the truth. You’re just a freeloader. Now that you’re divorced and can’t live off anyone anymore, you’ve moved on to scamming people?”

Mateo’s expression changed at once. Suspicion crept into his eyes.

Abigail panicked and snapped, “You little brat, how can you talk like that—”

“Hehe. It’s the truth. What, scared someone finally said it?” Vivian’s smile widened. “If you were really Ms. Sinclair’s husband, I might show you some respect. But she dumped you, didn’t she? Hahaha. I told you, Ms. Sinclair and Alexander are the real couple!”

Vivian spoke with open mockery, unaware that Alexander was already dead. She assumed only that Isabella and Dominic had divorced and that Alexander had taken Dominic’s place.

Dominic remained silent for two seconds. A flicker of guilt crossed his face. “Sorry, Abby. I dragged you into this mess.”

He glanced at Vivian’s company badge and sent a voice message to Isabella, his expression flat. “Your brother Alexander has a woman named Vivian in the company. She’s standing in front of me and barking.”

Vivian stiffened. “What did you just say? You think Ms. Sinclair would even care about you? Who do you think you are—”

Her phone rang before she could finish.

Isabella was in a good mood. She had finally secured her footing in her husband’s household.

The moment she listened to the message, her expression hardened. Anger flared in her eyes. How had she forgotten to deal with this woman? She clenched her teeth and called immediately.

Winning her husband back had already been difficult. Now some stray was digging a pit in her path. That was practically asking for death.

Vivian answered, ready to explain, but Isabella launched into a tirade. “Vivian, have you lost your mind? How dare you offend my husband? You’re finished. Completely finished. Don’t think this ends with being fired. As long as you’re still in Skyline, you won’t have a single peaceful day. If I don’t destroy you, I may as well be a fool!”

Isabella gave her no chance to explain. She hung up in fury.

Vivian stood frozen.

Alexander had once mentioned Isabella’s background in passing. Vivian knew what it meant when Isabella lost her temper. Real trouble followed.

Isabella immediately called Dominic, but he did not answer. She sent a message instead, insisting the matter had nothing to do with her.

Dominic did not even glance at the screen. He turned to Abigail. “You two keep talking, Abby. I’m heading out.”

Isabella’s call alone proved that he was no scammer.
