Chapter 212
Abigail was surprised when she heard Dominic say he was coming too, but she recovered quickly and smiled. “Sure!”
Everyone packed up their things, and Dominic followed Abigail and the others out the door.
JewelMed had assigned a compact car to each sales team.
Dominic lifted the keys. “I’ll drive.”
Besides Dominic and Abigail, the group included Edward Williams, a man in his early 30s, and Sasha Scott, a young woman.
The moment Dominic got into the car, Sasha eagerly slipped into the front passenger seat. She grinned as she spoke. “I’ll take the front seat. Nobody minds, right?”
Abigail laughed. “You really are something.”
Sasha was 23 and had just graduated from college. She had a delicate, youthful look.
She glanced at Dominic. “Dominic, you don’t mind, right?”
Dominic smiled and shook his head. “Do whatever you want.”
Edward chuckled. “Sasha, be bolder. Even bolder.”
Sasha blushed at once and lowered her head, though her eyes still sneaked glances at Dominic.
With Dominic’s looks, he would have been a top tier heartthrob at school, far ahead of everyone else. Anyone who saw him
would feel dazzled.
On top of that, he was recently divorced, and in his first month at the company, his salary had already reached 150,000 dollars.
Given his circumstances, if he showed even a hint of flirtation at work, nine out of ten single women in the company would gladly line up to share his bed.
The drive from the office to the city’s Municipal Maternal and Child Health Hospital took about half an hour.
Along the way, Abigail spoke up. “Mr. Parker is in charge of procurement at this hospital. Once we’re inside, don’t speak casually. I’ll handle the communication with him.”
No one objected. Abigail’s experience far surpassed that of the others.
The trip went smoothly. After parking at the hospital, Abigail showed clear preparation. She moved with confidence and knew exactly where to go by checking the signs.
“In sales, preparation is critical,” she said. “You need more than a full understanding of our products. There are many things to handle before meeting a client.”
She continued, “You should know the client’s preferences and where they live and work. You also need to look presentable. Like Edward. You won’t be going in later.”
She glanced at Edward as she spoke.
A stain marked Edward’s shirt, likely left over from the night before.
“Huh?” Edward looked down, then grimaced. “I figured it didn’t matter for a guy, so I didn’t change.”
Abigail’s expression turned serious. “This isn’t something you can treat lightly. Sometimes, the client likes the product, but the deal falls short by just a little. It can fail because of a salesperson’s appearance. This matters.”
Edward sighed and nodded. “Alright. I’ll stay outside and wait for you.”

Sasha laughed. “Edward, you’re making it sound like we’re doing something shady, talking about keeping watch. Hahaha!”
Dominic laughed as well.
Inwardly, he agreed with Abigail.
Whenever she led sales calls, she shared her experience freely and taught everything she knew. That was why everyone on Sales Team Gamma held a good impression of this senior sister figure.
Soon, they reached Mateo Parker’s office.
As they stopped outside, Abigail frowned.
Voices drifted from inside. Through the window, they could see several people speaking with him.
A crisp female voice rang out. “Mr. Parker, the Belladom Group is absolutely reliable. All of the products come from the Sinclair Group. You can rest assured.”
Another voice followed. “Mr. Parker, if you have concerns about pricing, everything is negotiable.”
Dominic raised an eyebrow. He had not expected this coincidence. They were Isabella’s people.
Mateo Parker wore a white lab coat and sat behind his desk with a calm expression. His right index finger tapped lightly against the tabletop, as though he was thinking.
Abigail took a deep breath and did not hesitate. She knocked on the door.
Mateo looked up. “Come in.”
Abigail pushed the door open and walked inside, with Dominic close behind her.
A young woman suddenly stared at Dominic and cried out in surprise, “It’s you!”
Dominic glanced at her. “You know me?”
Her pupils contracted, and resentment surfaced in her eyes. “You almost cost me my job.”
She was Vivian, the woman who had posted the reel of Alexander and Isabella. The latter had fired her at the time, and she had only managed to stay because Alexander had pleaded on her behalf.
Sara Lili is a daring romance writer who turns icy landscapes into scenes of fiery passion. She loves crafting hot love stories while embracing the chill of Iceland’s breathtaking cold.
