In the end, Dominic and Jessica chose local food, since she said it made the meal feel more like a date.
They sat in a quiet corner.
Jessica wanted to scoot closer again, but Dominic stopped her at once. “Hey, stay right there and don’t move. Got it?”
“Oh.” Jessica responded reluctantly. Her hips, which had just lifted, dropped back down.
After Dominic placed their order, he heard her ask, “Dominic, has Lily missed me these past few days?”
He nodded. “She’s asked about you.”
Jessica’s eyes lit up, and she giggled. “She’s wonderful in every way, except she won’t call me Mom!”
Then a thought struck her. “Is your ex sister–in–law still living at your place?”
Dominic nodded and told the truth. “She’s still there.”
Jessica propped her arm on the table, rested her chin in her hand, and looked troubled. “She really is like a lingering ghost.”
Dominic frowned. “Why bring her up all of a sudden?”
Jessica sighed. “She’s so pretty. If you really handed her over to someone else, you’d definitely feel reluctant. How about this? You take her in and keep her as a side piece. What do you think?”
Dominic froze. His expression darkened, and his voice turned cold. “What nonsense are you talking about?”
“I’m not talking nonsense.” Jessica blinked and spoke with complete seriousness. “Autumn can be a side piece too. I don’t mind.

This was the solution she had reached after a lot of agonizing thought and a sudden flash of inspiration.
The consequences of the last incident had been too serious, and she no longer dared to push recklessly. Since she could not drive them away, she decided on a roundabout approach.
Dominic frowned, clearly unhappy. “Jessica, something must be wrong with your head.”
Jessica nodded eagerly. “It was messed up last time. You know that, right? You were the one who pulled me out!”
‘Is that what I meant?‘ Dominic realized that communicating with a little pervert was far more difficult than expected. He stopped responding, took out his phone, and scrolled through reels.
Before long, the server brought their dishes over. “Please enjoy.”
The local restaurant was upscale and quiet. With more than 150,000 dollars in hand, Dominic felt no nervousness at all.
Jessica ate absentmindedly, her gaze fixed on Dominic’s face the entire time, as if he looked more appetizing than the steak.
Her stare made Dominic uncomfortable. “Can you eat properly for once?”
“Hehe!” Jessica grinned, then finally lowered her head.
After they finished eating, Dominic wiped his mouth and said, “Let’s go. I’ll take you home.”
Jessica rolled her eyes. “Hey, my head feels so dizzy. I don’t think I can sit in a car. How about we just get a room at the hotel next door?”
Dominic sneered, “Don’t play dumb with me.”
Her intentions were far too obvious.

Chapter 290
After realizing that he had seen through her, Jessica looked disappointed and followed him obediently into the car.
Once inside, she still tried to make a sneak attack, but Dominic gave her no chance this time.

When he stopped at the villa by Om Lake, she fidgeted for a long while and refused to get out.
Dominic sighed. “What exactly do you want?”
Jessica spoke in a coquettish tone. “I want you to kiss me.”
“No.” Dominic refused outright. “Stop messing around and get out. I’m heading back.”
“No way. If you don’t kiss me, I’m not getting out!” Jessica puckered her lips at him and even closed her eyes.
Dominic felt both annoyed and amused. In the end, he gave in and kissed her on the cheek. “That’s enough, alright?”
Jessica still felt a little dissatisfied, but she knew when to stop. She got out of the car with clear reluctance.
Dominic added, “I’ve been pretty busy lately. If there’s nothing important, don’t come looking for me.”
“Huh?” Jessica’s expression darkened at once.
