Chapter 301
The countless vitamins sold at sky–high prices showed just how attractive this market was to women.
White Cosmos No. 1, produced by the Cosmos Laboratory, was the real standout. It carried the highest level of official
certification, and even Eastmere State’s most influential figure had endorsed it. The result was predictable. Customers flooded
By afternoon, the surge in orders grew even more dramatic.
After the store closed that evening, Dominic finally had a moment to breathe.
Jewel reviewed the backend sales data on the computer. Her voice shook as she spoke. “Dominic, today’s sales have exceeded 50 million dollars.”
Dominic drew in a slow breath. “Calm down. Calm down.”
Jewel could not contain her excitement. She suddenly threw her arms around him, her voice thick as she spoke. “I can’t calm down. Daddy… JewelMed has finally made it.”
That single word made several nearby employees pause and turn toward them, their expressions awkward and curious.
Dominic’s expression darkened. ‘Damn it! Can she not say things that invite misunderstandings?‘
He patted Jewel on the shoulder. “Alright. This is only the beginning. Didn’t you want to take JewelMed to the level of the Garcia Group? We still have a long road ahead.”
Aware of the attention around them, Jewel quickly stepped back. She wiped at the corners of her eyes and turned to her assistant. “Have you notified everyone? We’re going to the Grand Skyline Hotel.”
Earlier that afternoon, Dominic had already arranged a reservation there.
That night, Dominic treated all employees to dinner.
“Everyone has been notified, Miss Wright,” the assistant replied.
They did not linger. Once the closing work was finished, the group headed straight to the hotel.
Dominic had booked an entire banquet hall. Six large tables filled the room, every seat taken. He invited the entire marketing team, along with several factory workers responsible for packaging.
As tradition dictated, Dominic spoke first as the chairman. The hall fell silent at once. Every gaze settled on him.
Although it was his first time addressing such a large crowd, he felt no stage fright. He lifted his glass, smiled, and spoke. Today’s opening event was a complete success. Thank you all for your hard work. I won’t say much. I’ll drink this one, and the rest… you’ll see it reflected in your paychecks.”

The hall burst into laughter. Excitement spread quickly, fueled by rumors that Mr. Fleming planned to issue generous bonuses this month.
Dominic raised his glass and finished it in one go.
Warm applause followed immediately.
After he sat down, Jewel lowered her voice. “Dominic, why did you drink it all at once?”
Concern crept into her tone.
He shook his head. “It’s fine. I’m happy.”

That was what he said. In his mind, however, Autumn’s face surfaced. Whether he was truly happy, only he knew.
Afterward, Dominic kept his glass in hand as people came over to toast him. They did not come one at a time. Groups gathered around him together. Each group offered a toast, and he responded with a few encouraging words. This was part of the customary table culture.
Dominic remained gracious throughout. He refused no one who raised a glass to him.
Before he realized it, the alcohol had taken effect.
He usually drank very little, yet by then he had already consumed more than two pounds of liquor. If his physical condition had not improved so much, he would have collapsed long ago.
Jewel grew increasingly worried. When she saw him start to sway, she wrapped an arm around his waist. “Dominic, are you alright?”
His words slurred. “I’m fine… I can still drink. I’m happy. Everyone, drink as much as you want.”
At that point, Jewel understood all too clearly that he was drunk.
Just then, the phone on the table rang.
