Lucas’s eyes widened. A heartbeat later, he sprang to his feet, and his expression shifted at once. He seized Dominic’s hand with both of his and shook it with overzealous enthusiasm. “Oh wow, Mr. Fleming. Hello. Please sit. Please sit.”

A broad smile spread across his face as he ushered Dominic toward the sofa facing the door. He raised his voice and called for his assistant. “Dan, hurry up and make some coffee!”

Autumn pressed her lips together to keep from smiling.

Dominic, faced with the sudden shift in attitude, felt completely at a loss.
