Autumn’s heart pounded as she waited for Dominic’s answer.

Dominic looked momentarily stunned. He thought it over, then shook his head. “We haven’t confirmed a relationship.”

The words felt like a heavy stone lifting from Autumn’s chest. A sneer still crossed her face. “So you won’t refuse, and you won’t take responsibility. You really are a jerk.”

Dominic waved his hand helplessly and said nothing, choosing to let it pass. He knew his behavior could easily look that way.

Still, he could not bring himself to commit to Jessica. Emotionally, he was not there yet. Some of her actions, however, had left him little room to resist and slowly pushed things to where they were now.

At that moment, Autumn brushed a strand of hair from her forehead. “Dominic, do you think I’m pretty?”

Her expression appeared calm, but her heart raced.

Dominic looked at her face on instinct, and his heartbeat stuttered.

At 21, Autumn was already stunning. A trace of shyness lingered in her eyes, and a faint blush colored her cheeks. The sight was enough to unsettle any man.

Dominic was no exception. He spoke softly. “You are.”

Autumn smiled. “In that case, I’m going to start pursuing you, Dominic!”

The declaration nearly pushed Dominic over the edge. Her eyes held both seriousness and mischief, which made him unsure

how much to believe.

He could only respond with, “Alright, stop messing around. Let’s eat first.”

With that, he started the car.

Autumn scoffed. “Dominic, you’re such a coward!”

She did not bring it up again.

Their unspoken understanding eased the tension between them little by little.

At noon, they ate at a nearby restaurant.

After wiping his mouth, Dominic said, “Autumn, introduce me to your cousin when you get the chance. White Cosmos No. 1 is selling extremely well. Some of the artists under him care a lot about appearance, so this could turn into a solid collaboration.”

Autumn’s heart skipped. She had already discussed it with Jewel and knew the White Cosmos No. 1 oral solution was performing exceptionally well. Inventory was even running low.

The product had been on the market for only a short time, yet demand was already high.

Dominic framed it as a suggestion, but a long–term contract would carry enormous future value for Crescent Entertainment.

Autumn smiled gently. “No need to wait. I can introduce you right now.”

She took out her phone and called Lucas. She glanced at Dominic and switched to speaker.

Lucas answered quickly. “Hey, Autumn.”

“Hey. Do you have a moment?” Autumn asked.

“I just finished lunch. I’m at the office. What’s going on?”

“Then stay there. I have something to talk to you about.”

She hung up without waiting for his response, then smiled at Dominic. “Let’s go, Dominic.”

“Alright.”

They got back into the car, and Autumn sent him the location.

Dominic parked.

The architecture was elegant, with the words Crescent Entertainment engraved prominently on the facade.

They walked straight inside.

As soon as they stepped into the elevator, Dominic exclaimed, “No wonder it’s an entertainment company. So many handsome men and beautiful women!”

They had barely gone a few steps when they spotted plenty of attractive faces, some of them vaguely familiar from social media.

Autumn blinked. “Not one of them is more handsome than

you, Dominic!”

The compliment clearly pleased him. He smiled. “Feel free to say things like that more often.”
