Chapter 370
“Sir! Yara is only 18! She has trouble walking and can only sit in a wheelchair. She can barely control one hand, S–She dragged this broken body of hers out to work all by herself…”
By the time he finished, Ryan was already choking back tears.
Dominic felt moved as well. “Are you going to see her now?”
Ryan nodded over and over, his words tumbling out in a rush. “My uncle sold our old house. Max is locked in the basement and survives on leftovers. My aunt even said that if they want to live there, they have to pay rent. Yara had no choice. She really had no choice!”
Ryan’s eyes burned red, fury simmering beneath the grief.
Dominic felt a heavy knot form in his chest. His voice turned cold. “To think there are relatives like that.”
They took the inheritance for themselves, sold the house the family relied on to survive, and forced a girl with cerebral palsy to go out and work. It was hard to believe such people were human.
“Sir, I’m begging you. I’ll kneel, I’ll do anything. Please help me, please…” Ryan dropped to the ground and began begging Dominic. “Sir, no… Mr. Fleming, no matter how hard my life has been, I’ve never begged anyone. But seeing my siblings like this hurts too much. I really don’t know what else to do…”
Dominic spoke at once. “Get up first. Don’t panic. I’ll help you.”
Ryan froze, then scrambled to his feet, his eyes lighting up.
After a brief pause, he said carefully, “If it’s not convenient for you to step in personally, even helping me contact the authorities would be enough…”
“There’s no need,” Dominic replied calmly. “Let’s go. We’ll find your sister first.”
Given Yara’s physical condition, there was no way she could truly work. Any job she had was likely arranged through a disability
certificate.
“Thank you, thank you so much!” Ryan thanked him repeatedly in gratitude.
Dominic walked over to the car, motioned for Ryan to get in, and then took his own seat.
Brian sensed something unusual about Dominic’s actions, but he said nothing.
Dominic made a call to Katherine.
“Hello, Dominic!”
Each time he heard Katherine’s soft voice, a subtle warmth settled in his chest.
“I have something to handle today,” he said. “I’ll need you to pick up Lily.”
Katherine hummed and replied, “Important things come first. Leave her to me. Be careful.”
Dominic smiled. “Alright.”
After the call ended, he told Brian to drive and had Ryan give directions.
Before long, they arrived at the entrance of an electronics factory.
The guard glanced at the Maybach, a car worth nearly 300,000 thousand dollars, and waved it through without hesitation.
Now that he was about to see his sister, Ryan’s excitement grew sharper with every passing second.

Inside the women’s dorm of the electronics factory…
On the first floor, several women had just finished the night shift. They had slept through the day and were now awake, sitting on their beds and chatting as mealtime approached.
One woman shot an annoyed glance at Yara, who sat blankly by her bed. “She doesn’t even work every day. Why does she still get paid?”
Another woman sneered, “Exactly. We work 12 hours a day and only make a little over 550 dollars a month. She has it easy. She does nothing, stays in the dorm all day, and still gets more than 400 dollars.”
Yara looked fairly presentable. Long black hair fell over her shoulders, and her skin was clean. Only her facial muscles betrayed her condition, her mouth pulling slightly to one side beyond her control.
It was as if she had not heard a word. She hugged a black mug to her chest and sat motionless.
Her silence only emboldened them.
One woman climbed down from her bed and stared at Yara with a cold expression. “Yara, I’m talking to you. Don’t you have any shame? Scamming money so openly in the factory?”
Yara lifted her head slowly and spoke with effort. “I… didn’t. I came to… work, but-”
“But my ass!” the woman snapped. “You can’t even talk properly and you still came out to work? If you just want to sleep, why don’t you go back home?”
“Look at her. She’s actually kind of pretty. Bet that pay comes from sleeping with some factory managers, haha!” another woman chimed in, cracking peanuts on her bed. Her tone dripped with mockery.
