Chapter 3944
Jessica felt a flicker of surprise when she heard that. “All of warden, 1 kinded adentre you ex–wife
Dominic shook his head, his tone calm. “That’s all in the past.”
Jessica studied him, then asked abruptly, “Hey, if that Penjarin really comes back, what do you think you who w
“I don’t know. Whatever she does has nothing to do with me.”
At that, Jessica broke into a sudden smile.
“Nothing to do with you, my ass,” she said with certainty, “If you saw those two together, you’d totally lose it.”
“How is that possible?” Dominic frowned. “Isabella can be with whoever she wants. I wouldn’t have the slightest opinion”
“Haha!” Jessica reached out and tapped his nose. “You’re just being stukhom.”
Dominic shot her an irritated look. “Do you really have to bring her up? All I want to know right now is who the hell set that fire”
He did not fear thieves who stole and disappeared. He feared those who lingered in the shadows. Until the person was cap he would never truly feel at ease.
Jessica’s smile faded, her expression turning serious. “That is a problem.”
As she spoke, a sharp edge entered her gaze, carrying a hint of killing intent. “No matter who it is, daring to do something like that, I absolutely won’t let him off.”
Dominic felt a quiet warmth stir in his chest. “Jessica, thank you.”
“Ugh, don’t get sentimental with me,” she said, clearly annoyed.
Dominic chuckled softly, checked the time, and said, “I’ll go check on Lily.”
He stood and walked out. The girl had already finished her homework and was back on her phone, absorbed in the screen.
Dominic walked over. “It’s late. Time to shower and sleep. If you keep playing, you won’t get up tomorrow.”
Lilith curled her lips, handed over the phone with reluctance, and said, “I know!”
Dominic ran the bath for Lilith, Once she finished showering, he sent her to her room and tucked her in.
Only then did he turn back to Jessica. “What are your plans for tonight?”
Jessica rolled her eyes and grinned. “At this hour, it wouldn’t be convenient to go back. The other rooms don’t even have bests, so there’s only one place I can go…”
Her gaze drifted unmistakably toward the master bedroom.
Dominic considered it briefly, then nodded. “Alright. Sleep in my room.”
Jessica’s eyes flew open Excitement rushed through her, and she nearly bounced in place. ‘A whole night! Even if Dominic’s little Johnson has shriveled, that much time should be enough to revive it, right?
She darted into the room at once and said brightly, “Then I’ll shower first!”
Dominic smiled as he watched her go. He took extra bedding from the wardrobe, spread it on the sofa, and headed to the bathroom outside to shower.
When Jessica finished bathing and came out, Dominic was nowhere in sight.
She stepped out to check and, as expected, found him asleep on the sofa.

She replied weakly, “Good night, Dominic.”

Jessica lay down in his bed with a smirk. Even though she had not succeeded, this still felt like a milestone.
She had sensed it clearly. Dominic did hold her in his heart, and his restraint had nothing to do with her family background. Earlier, even in front of Shaun, he had dared to wrap an arm around her shoulders and make such a provocative move. That alone proved he was neither timid nor afraid of trouble.
‘He didn’t touch me because there’s still someone else in his heart.‘ The thought settled, and her eyes grew calm. ‘But who exactly is that person?‘
