Chapter 415
A warm current surged through Dominic’s heart. Jessica and Autumn had both helped him without asking for anything in return, and he felt the weight of their genuine care.
“Don’t be so pessimistic. I’ll be fine. Just wait and see the result,” Dominic said, taking a deep breath and smiling.
After Autumn left, another woman came in.
It was Jewel.
The moment she entered, she launched into a tirade. “I honestly don’t even know what to say about you. Why can’t you ever be more careful? What’s so great about getting involved with women out there? Now look, something’s gone wrong, hasn’t it?”
Dominic could not help laughing. “What do you mean by women out there?”
Jewel’s face flushed, and she glared at him. “I really can’t deal with you. You’re still in the mood to joke around at a time like this. Think about what you’re going to do next!”
“What else can I do?” Dominic said. “I’ll just wait for the trial.”
Jewel hummed softly. “I heard you were set up. Is it related to White Cosmos No. 1?”
Dominic nodded without hesitation. “There’s definitely a connection.”
“Then let’s give up White Cosmos No. 1. Hand over this hot potato. If we do that, will those people back off?” Jewel asked seriously.
Dominic froze for a moment before replying. “If we give up White Cosmos No. 1, JewelMed won’t have a future. It would face bankruptcy.”
Tears welled in Jewel’s eyes, but she forced a smile. “A company is just a thing. Giving it up… is just giving it up. How could it matter more than a person? As long as you’re fine, we can… make a comeback later.”
She tried to sound casual, but Dominic could see the pain she was holding back.
He fell silent. He had never expected that the woman who once laid down her pride for JewelMed would one day say she was willing to give up everything just to save him.
“Jewel, you don’t have to do this,” Dominic said softly. “White Cosmos No. 1 is only the beginning. We agreed to make the company bigger and stronger. The JewelMed building is already under construction. How can we talk about giving up now?”
Jewel bit her lip. “But…”
“There is no but,” Dominic said calmly. “Some people will always push their luck. We can’t take even a single step back. Focus on managing the company. Things will turn around soon.”
“Really? You… You’re not lying to me, right?”
Dominic burst out laughing. “Of course not! If I lie to you, I’ll never ‘finish‘ with a self–draw when I play Black Jack again!”
Jewel’s face instantly turned crimson. Embarrassed and irritated, she stood up to leave.
Just before she walked out, she said in a trembling voice, “As… As long as you can get out, I’ll let you… self–draw…”
Dominic’s eyes widened.
The last person to visit was Isabella.
Dominic had not wanted to see her, but Ezra told him she had posted that video. After a brief hesitation, he agreed to the

meeting.
The moment she saw him, joy lit up her face. She pressed her palm against the glass and called out, “Honey!”
“You shouldn’t have posted that video,” Dominic said calmly.
Isabella shot him an unhappy look. “What nonsense is that? I’m your wife. Of course I have to share both hardship and happiness with you!”
Dominic nodded. “Since it’s already posted, let it be. Take good care of Lily these days, and don’t go looking for trouble with Lydia.”
“I wan’t,” Isabella said with a light smile. “Honey, I’ve already guessed your plan.”
Dominic was slightly taken aback.
“It’s really not hard to guess,” Isabella said, smiling. “Anyway, I’ll be leaving tomorrow. After the trial tomorrow…”
Dominic listened quietly. A helpless smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. He nodded. “Alright.”
This time, Isabella truly was thinking along the same lines as he was. With her stepping in, the plan would proceed even more smoothly.
