Chapter 462
After hanging up, Dominic considered what gift he should give Autumn.
Lydia stood nearby and said, “Dom, your luck with women is really something.”
“Is it?” Dominic smiled. “Forget that. I need to figure out what to give her. Help me think of something.”
“What’s her background?” Lydia asked.
“Her name is Autumn Garcia.”
Lydia inhaled sharply. “The daughter of the richest man in Skyline City?”
“You were with Zachary for a long time,” Dominic replied. “The Grants are no weaker than Stephen Garcia’s family. No need to be so shocked.”
Lydia stiffened. A bitter smile touched her lips as she shook her head. “Zachary only came to me when he needed something. He never took me to formal events.”
“I see,” Dominic said. “He was just playing around. He never planned to marry you.”
The words were blunt, and Lydia could not deny them.
Dominic smiled again. “You didn’t lose out entirely. He gave you quite a bit of money.”
“When your life is gone, what use is money?”
“At least it could have improved your family’s life.”
Lydia fell silent and shook her head, unwilling to continue. “Someone like Autumn doesn’t lack expensive gifts. From that call, it was obvious she likes you. If you give her something thoughtful, she’ll be happy.”
Dominic considered this. “You think so?”
“Yes.” Lydia nodded with conviction.
He grew pensive.
After a moment, he set the plastic ring on the coffee table. “If you want to manifest, put it on. But you’re not allowed to go outside.”
At the sight of the ring, Lydia’s eyes brightened. She nodded eagerly.
“One more thing,” Dominic added. “You can’t stay visible for more than an hour.”
With that, he went to his room.
Lydia watched him leave, a flicker of emotion surfacing in her eyes.

Inside, Dominic searched through the cabinet. When he found the familiar sketchbook, he smiled faintly.
“It’s been a long time since I drew. I wonder if I’m rusty,” he muttered as he began to sketch, preparing the gift he intended to give Autumn.
A little after 4:00 p.m., Dominic called Katherine.
She said she was on her way to pick up Lilith, which eased his mind.
With Lydia at home, he did not want to bring Lilith back.
First, he needed to deal with Zachary. The latter had lived long enough. Now that everything was in place, he should die.
Time passed, and night fell.
Brian and Max reported that Lilith had arrived home safely. They were standing guard downstairs at Riverside Residence.
Isabella continued to send him messages without pause.
Dominic did not respond.
