Chapter 474
A sly look flashed in Logan’s eyes. “Mr. Fleming, we can play, but let’s switch games.”
Dominic regarded him calmly. “What do you want to play?”
Logan smiled. “Dice. I’ll be the banker.”
He held only 20,000 dollars in chips. Betting big or small with dice was the fastest, and riskiest, way to turn a modest stake into something substantial.
Dominic nodded. “No problem.”
Jewel caught his arm, worry flickering across her face.
Dominic patted her shoulder to reassure her.
A server soon arrived with a dice cup and set it in front of Logan.
Dominic stepped forward and placed his hand lightly on the cup.
Logan frowned. “What are you doing?”
“Checking it.” Dominic’s gaze swept over Jade as he added evenly, “Since we’re playing dice here, who knows whether this thing has some kind of mechanism.”
Jade’s expression darkened at once. She understood the implication. Dominic was openly questioning the fairness of the game.
Several guests glanced at her, their looks edged with quiet scrutiny.
Embarrassed and furious, Jade said coldly, “Why all the nonsense?”
Dominic withdrew his hand and returned to his seat.
Lydia let out a sigh. “This feels so strange.”
At that moment, she lay sprawled across the table with her head inside the dice cup, her posture unintentionally comical.
Dominic had just pressed the cup down over her. She knew that spirits were low–level entities. They could not actively pass through people or objects, so she could not enter the dice cup on her own to see
the numbers.
Dominic’s assistance changed that.
In a passive state, a spirit could pass through objects. If a car drove through a motionless spirit, it would pass without obstruction. A spirit could not initiate the contact, but it could endure it.
Moments earlier, without deliberately allowing Lydia to manifest, Dominic had pressed the dice cup down over her. Now she could see the dice points clearly.

To prevent skilled players from manipulating the outcome through controlled shaking, the large dice cup featured an automatic shaking mode.
Logan dressed a Button. The cup began to rattle loudly.
More than ten seconds passed before the sound stopped.
Logan gestured casually. Place your bets.”
Big Ber Big Lydia called out.
Dominic pushed forward the 20,000–dollar chips.
The room fell quiet.
Logan lifted the lid without ceremony. Beneath the transparent glass cover, the dice showed one, five, Six. Big
Dominic won.
Logan showed no concern.
“Not bad luck he said with a smile as he tossed over two matching chips.
He pressed the button again.
After the shaking stopped, Lydia announced, “Two, four, five. Still big.”
Dominic slid all his chips forward. “Big again.”
40,000 dollars now sat on the table.
The guests continued to watch in silence. A few hundred thousand dollars was not enough to stir much
emotion among them.
Logan felt the same. The sum meant little to him.
Jewel, however, looked increasingly anxious. She clasped her hands and prayed under her breath.
Jade’s expression grew darker. She wished he would lose a round and end the spectacle.
When Logan lifted the lid, her hope collapsed.
