“Uncles, Aunts… you should go in too.”

Dominic greeted them with a smile and took the gifts he had prepared earlier from the car.

Aside from Yvonne, he had always maintained a decent relationship with the others.

The group walked into the villa, where a warm atmosphere greeted them.

Leticia ignored everyone. She held Lilith in her arms and laughed happily.

In the dining room, the servants had already begun bringing out the dishes. Since Leticia had not spoken, however, no one dared sit at the table.

Oliver jolted in surprise and quickly stepped forward to take the girl.

Then he glanced at Dominic and Isabella, his expression clearly wishing them luck, before leaving the living room.

Silence fell over the room.

The smile on Leticia’s face vanished. Her eyes turned toward Isabella. “Isabella, come here.”

Isabella bit her lip and stepped forward. “Grandma.”

“On your knees,” Leticia said coldly.

Everyone was stunned. Even Dominic frowned.

Isabella’s face turned pale. She feared no one in the world, but she still had to obey Leticia.

Isabella quietly knelt before the old woman.

“James, bring the whip.” Leticia spoke briefly and extended her hand toward James.

James could not help feeling sorry for his daughter. “Mom, this-”

Leticia cut him off with a cold voice, “What? You’re not going to listen to me anymore?”

James had no choice but to walk to the cabinet beneath his father’s photograph and take out a small box.

Leticia took the box and opened it without another word. Inside lay an old–fashioned leather whip.

Holding the whip, she stared at Isabella. “Isabella, do you think I should punish you?”

Isabella’s body trembled. After a few seconds of silence, she answered, “Yes.”

“Good. Then ten lashes. Children of the Sinclairs must be punished when they make mistakes.”

Leticia acted without hesitation. As soon as she finished speaking, she stood, walked behind Isabella, and raised the whip.

Isabella gritted her teeth and closed her eyes. Her body trembled slightly.

Just as the whip was about to fall, a hand suddenly reached out and caught it.
