Isabella didn’t know what Dominic intended, so she followed him.

To her surprise, he gently took her by the arm, guided her out the door, and closed it behind her. The room fell quiet.

Ignoring Isabella’s calls from outside, Dominic lay down beside Lilith. Drowsiness overtook him, and before long he was asleep.

When he woke again, it was already afternoon.

Lilith had woken up at some point. She sat nearby with his phone in her hands, completely absorbed in a game.

Dominic said softly, “Lily…”

Lilith’s neck stiffened at once, and her eyes widened into round orbs. She slowly turned her little head, frightened. “Daddy…”

Dominic gave a cold snort and snatched the phone from her hands. “Don’t think I don’t know what you’re doing. How long did Grandma let you play today? And you were sneaking it too. Don’t you care about your eyes?”

The girl let out a small, disappointed hum.

“Let’s go.”

Dominic checked the time. It was already past five. He took her downstairs.

The moment Lilith saw Leticia, she cheered and ran toward her as if she had found a savior.

Dominic, however, stopped in his tracks.

Katherine was back. She sat with Isabella, speaking quietly. No one could tell what they were discussing.

Isabella looked up, noticed Dominic coming down, and immediately stood with a cheerful smile. She ran over. “Honey, you’re awake! Dinner’s almost ready!”

Dominic didn’t look at her. His gaze remained fixed on Katherine.

Katherine’s expression was cold and distant, without the slightest hint of a smile.

With so many people present, Dominic didn’t dare say much. He forced a smile. “Katherine, you’re back?”

Katherine gave a faint nod. Then she rose and walked toward the dining room, as if he didn’t exist.

Jealousy flared in Isabella’s eyes. “Honey, don’t bother trying. She already agreed to go on a blind date!”

Dominic’s heart skipped a beat, and his expression darkened.

Yvonne seemed to notice the tension. Her eyes flickered as she said casually, “Don’t worry, Isabella. Whoever Grandma picked must be outstanding.”

Earlier, Leticia had only mentioned that Katherine was single. Katherine usually showed little interest in such matters, yet she had unexpectedly agreed to go on a blind date arranged by her grandmother.

Dominic shot Yvonne a cold glare. “What does that have to do with you? You’d better keep quiet.”

His tone was sharp, and Yvonne’s face immediately fell.

Everyone knew about the tension between them, so several people quickly stepped in and guided Dominic toward the dining
