Chapter 558
Half an hour later, the apartment that had looked messy earlier was clean, neat, and warmly inviting.
Under Sophia’s careful touch, the small living room took on a quiet tenderness. She placed the two candles Dominic had bought on the table, their flames flickering softly.
Though simple, the space now resembled a true wedding setting.
Elias stood before it in silence, excitement bright in his eyes. He had dreamed of this moment for a long time.
Sophia watched him, her eyes glistening with tears. “Elias… you won’t regret this, will you?”
Elias shook his head without hesitation. He took her hands and spoke softly. “Sophia… will you marry me?”
The words left his lips at last.
Sophia’s voice trembled. “I will.”
Dominic smiled. “Alright. Bride and groom, please get ready.”
It was his first time officiating a wedding, but he was more than willing to do so for them.
A few minutes later, Elias called from the bedroom, “Mr. Fleming, we’re ready.”
In the corner of the living room, a phone stood on a tripod, quietly recording the ceremony so the moment would not be lost.
Dominic’s expression grew solemn.
Elias stepped out first, neatly dressed and standing tall, though tension lingered in his eyes.
Moments later, Sophia followed.
She wore a white dress and a delicate veil draped over her hair. Her steps were small and careful, her hands clasped in front of
her.
Even without elaborate makeup or jewelry, she looked breathtaking. Elias could not look away.
Dominic cleared his throat. “We are gathered here today to witness the marriage of Elias and Sophia.”
The room remained still, broken only by the soft crackle of candlelight.
Dominic looked at them both. “Marriage is a promise to stand beside each other through whatever life brings. Today, you choose each other. Not because life is easy, but because your love is stronger than it.”
He paused. “Elias, do you take Sophia to be your wife? To love her, protect her, and stand beside her for the rest of your life?”
Elias answered with steady conviction. “I do.”
Dominic turned to Sophia. “Sophia, do you take Elias to be your husband? To love him, trust him, and share your life with him from this day forward?”
Sophia brushed away a tear. “I do.”
Dominic nodded gently. “Then please join hands.”
Elias took Sophia’s hands and held them tightly, as if unwilling to let go.
Dominic allowed himself a faint smile. “By the promises you have made to each other today… I now pronounce you husband and
wife.”
Elias’s eyes had already reddened.

Sophia wept quietly.
“Elias, you may kiss your bride,” Dominic said softly.
