She Walked Away With His Twins While He Begged the Ground She Walked On novel Chapter 104

After debating with herself, Yara decided against telling her.

Since Caleb would be competing in a mask and no one would see his real face, there shouldn't be any risk.

She texted back: [Quinn, take good care of yourself over there. The babies are asleep, and they've been absolute angels. You have nothing to worry about.]

...

Miles received a call from Mr. Pierce, requesting that he and his wife attend a private banquet at their villa the following evening.

Miles rubbed his temples. There was no getting out of this one.

"Hunter, go find that woman and tell her she needs to dress to the nines for a banquet tomorrow night."

"And pick out a gown for her. Make sure she doesn't look so painfully tacky."

Hunter pushed up his glasses and gently suggested, "Mr. York, if you accompany Mrs. York to pick out the dress yourself, I could snap a few photos and send them to Mr. Pierce. That would immediately put to rest any doubts he might have about your relationship."

Miles scowled. "Is that really necessary? She picks the dress, I foot the bill—it's the exact same outcome."

"I suppose... that could work. It would be best to get Mrs. York a matching jewelry set while we're at it. That would look more appropriate."

Seeing Hunter still hovering, Miles furrowed his brows. "If you know what to do, why are you still standing here?"

Hunter shrank back slightly and nodded. "Right away, Mr. York. I'll... I'll go contact her now."

"Hold on..."

Miles handed over the check he had signed earlier. "Take this to her. You know what to say, right?"

That woman would be absolutely thrilled to see the check, wouldn't she?

A faint smirk tugged at the corner of his lips, quickly replaced by a look of sheer disgust.

Hunter took the check, catching sight of the two million dollars written on it. He mentally gave his boss a thumbs up. Talk about generous!

But wouldn't this break Mrs. York's heart?
