"Miles, Luna only acknowledged me as her Godmother. What does that have anything to do with you?"
The moment those words left her mouth, Miles's handsome face darkened, blending into the surrounding night.
His gentle demeanor vanished instantly. "Quinn, if she is your Goddaughter, then I naturally become her Godfather by default. Do I really need to spell out such basic logic for you?"
He scoffed internally. *Truly uncultured. She has absolutely no understanding of basic social etiquette.*
Quinn's cheek twitched. She completely failed to comprehend his bizarre chain of reasoning.
But there was absolutely no way she was letting Luna acknowledge this man as her Godfather.
"Miles York, setting aside the fact that we are on the verge of a divorce—which completely disqualifies you—even if we weren't divorcing right now, you still have zero right to be her Godfather."
Miles's expression turned frigid, his voice dropping to a dangerous chill. "Quinn, do I need to teach you how to speak to me properly?"
"As long as we are not officially divorced, I am Luna's Godfather."
Realizing the absolute finality of his statement felt slightly off, he quickly amended it. "And even after we divorce, it won't change the fact that I am her Godfather. Once this kind of bond is established, you don't have the authority to unilaterally sever it."
Quinn was absolutely infuriated by his arrogant, tyrannical logic. She deeply regretted panicking and using the "Godmother" excuse.
"Miles, Luna will never accept you as her Godfather. She already has a real father. What right do you have to step into that role?"
Hearing her bring up another man sent a violent surge of irritation through Miles.
It also sparked an irrational flare of jealousy.
Did Luna even know what kind of man her biological father was?
The other day, when Leo and Luna were arguing and the topic of fathers came up, Luna's face had fallen completely.
It was painfully obvious she had no idea who her real father was, and likely hadn't even met the man.
That absentee loser was nothing more than a biological sperm donor. What right did he have to be called Luna's father?
